Reply back in a few weeks if you use it, I want to know how you're getting on. Always great hearing about peoples success.
Take care.
Good form! You can use a training app like this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shvagerfm.Pushups It will help guide you on a plan to increase output. App or not, just keep at it and you'll get there. Good luck!
YouTube workout videos. google specifically for a "no equipment" workout so you don't have to buy anything- but simple stuff like a yoga mat or resistance bands you can find on Amazon for $20 so might be worth the one-time expense. There are so many videos now in response to quarantine that give you a good workout in a small space for no money. Yoga, aerobics, HIIT, bodyweight, whatever tf you want is out there. Completely free and you can switch it up every day so you don't get bored.
Also before it gets too cold you can just run outside. If you've never run before start the (free) Couch 2 5k program that has a subreddit, free apps, online resources, etc. Admittedly though that will be very hard soon without investing in good cold-weather running gear.
Also apps like 100 pushups or Home Workouts etc- just check the app store for whatever interests you and you'll probably find some app to help guide and track your workouts.
There are SO MANY free videos and apps out there to help you get started on a workout. Honestly before Covid I went to the gym every other day, but now that I have more free time stuck at home I'm working out even more, trying out new exercises that tone new muscles, and am in the best shape of my (post-college) life. It probably is the biggest thing in giving me some semblance of mental health as cold weather sets in and socially distanced outdoor gatherings are becoming impossible again.
Great start.
You can progress faster. Much faster. Go straight to 100 in ten sets of ten. Do them every day and take as long as you want - all day if you like. You're going for overall totals to build the amount of work done; quantity, not necessarily intensity. Quantity you can do every day (think of it like a job); intensity requires rest. Consider the following rep patterns:
10 x 10
5 x 20
4 x 25
30, 25, 20, 15, 10
1, 2, 3, ... 9, 10, 9, 8, ... 3, 2, 1
Etc. There are many ways to hit 100.
Every now and again push yourself and see how many you can do in a single unbroken set (no pauses). Or see how many you can do with pauses (but still staying in position). Or see how quickly you can do 100 using any means necessary (sprinting, resting, gasping, crying, pushing again). Sixty in two minutes in a good total for anybody. Seventy is very good.
In 2013 I did 100 every day for the entire year. Some days I did more. One day I did 1000 (10 reps every minute, on the minute, for 1h40min). I did a total of 50,000 across the year. I'm 48 now and I don't think my body could take it but when I was 41 it could. Like you though, I started again while in lockdown. I've been using this app for the past four months and yesterday I hit 105 in one set.

Well done so far though, you're made great progress. They really are an incredible exercise for all-round fitness.
I think the best way to get good at push-ups is to do push-ups. I do 100 every morning. I started using an android app to do this. I started by doing 20, 20, 15, 15, 10, 10, 10. I slowly worked to doing 40, 40, 20... and then got to 100. The trick is to always do the amount you want to do... just break up the sets. Here's the app... but it's not necessary.

Right when you first wake up, drop and do as many push-ups as you can. You're goal is 20... so let's say you can do 4 right now. Do four... then take a break and do four more. If you can't do 2 or even 1. Just stay on the floor till you do your 20. It doesn't matter if they're not in a single try. It's just like running. If you want to run 5 miles... run till you can't and then walk the rest. Always go 5 miles... and just increase the amount you run.
So, always do 20 push-ups every morning and increase the first set that you do till you get to where you want to be!
That's a solid starting point.
It sounds like a lot, but just like C25K it's a zero to end-goal thing with phased progression.
Once there if you bang out 100 push ups a day for a few months it's amazing the difference it makes, and it's not just arms, it'll tone up shoulders, pecs, core...
From there you can push on with some of the many many routines in /r/bodyweightfitness, but that'll set you a decent base.
Hey man, I just stumbled over your comment from three days ago and I thought I'd mention an app I've been using for the last month. It's called 100 pushups and it's just about the only way that I've gotten into an actual workout routine. It tailors your workout to where you should begin based on how many you're capable of doing and pushes you to do as much as you can. Seriously, I started of at a program of '20 pushups' and now I'm doing ~70-80 per 20 minute session. In reps of around 9/10/12 etc. It tells you how many to do in each rep and allows you to take an adequate break between reps. It also shows you really good warmup exercises before workouts, allows you to view your progress, and shows you all sorts of different pushups. Ultimately, I've noticed some gains already and I'm always looking forward to my next session. I know this is starting to sound like hailcorporate but wtf, download it. Oh and one more thing- cold showers.
I successfully got to 100 pushups using this app (Android)
