Try vainglory, a MOBA game just like Arena of Valor. The player isn't as many as the other MOBA games but the communities are still active. I think this game has one of the best graphic and the most fair gameplay of all related games on play store.

Vainglory, available on both platforms, don't know if it's cross platform though. 3v3 matches are fast.
Heroes Evolved, available on both platforms but don't think it's cross platform. Valley of War matches are pretty fast.
If you liked the PVP, Vainglory has a couple different game modes that you can choose from that last between seven to twenty-five minutes. The lower time mode might be good for a couple quick games with your friend. It's 3v3 game.
Vainglory: Tap controlled MOBA game, it's most akin to LoL and Dota. While it does have IAP, it's not p2w. I haven't spent any money and I'm still having a lot of fun with it. Highly recommend it if you like these types of games.

It's an online MOBA. Coming from casual games, holy crap is this game HARD to play well. My first few games my team just got completely rolled. There is so much to learn and such a high skill ceiling. But maaaaan when you get you get your gameplay right, the rush from a good win is so addicting.
Edit: It's free, but you can buy skins/additional heroes if you wish. Otherwise you can achieve them through playing lots of matches.

Surprisingly good MOBA. The devs don't seem that bad, the gameplay is fun, and it doesn't get boring quickly. It's pretty grindy if you don't pay anything, but it can be done, and those that pay don't have an advantage over those that don't.
I recommend Vainglory. Easily the best mobile game available. Only purchases you can make are for skins which can be obtained by playing the game as well.
Vainglory is an incredible MOBA that actually looks like the screenshot and have relatively low specs required now.

Not the ipad version but seeing as it's a moba and on mobile I'm guessing it's the same game.
Suggest me games like Vainglory, Hearthstone and Clash of Clans. Multiplayer online games that can be played casually, but also profesionally and hardcore (which is what prefer). IAP does not bother me unless they interfere with the core gameplay.

Are you kidding me. Both me and OP have used other examples and you dont even try to see the similarities. No shit fighting games are different, i understand that, but that dosnt mean we cannot use them as examples. You even said that you "shat on my example" but failed to mention any of the points my example attempted to shead light on. You only pointed out the difference in the genres. Even OP has used other examples and linked videos and you refuse to see our point because its a different genre. Yes they are different but dont accuse us of being closed minded when you wont even for a second acknowledge the points we make or watch the videos we post (remeber you started this post with a video) . When people dont use examples you say we arnt being specific, then we use examples from other games and you wont even give it a thought because its a different genre. Saying things like " you are not saying anything of substance" is insulting, especially when you say something as self riotous as "what makes you think youre entitled to link me a 12 minuet video of an irrelevant game". First off, its OP's thread. Second, the video is again about a different game but related (fyi thats literally what a comparison is. Comparing two different things). But i guess thats not as self riotous as saying "im extremely good at talking to people".
Be considerate and for once actually try and see OPs point. You yourself admitted you had to put in a tremendous amount of time just to get the hang of dota. You yourself admitted that you friends dont play dota with you because of the learning curve. The examples of tutorials with tekken and dota are anecdotal. It looks like OP isnt saying to literally make dota like tekken. It looks like he is saying the same issues exist even with dotas tutorial currently in the game and i dont think OP is wrong. The problems with understanding gameplay in tekken exists for new players in dota as well. Ill even use a quote from this really dope dota player to prove my point.

On PC I've stuck to Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike: Global-Offensive as well as League of Legends, which I only recently started playing (recently being yesterday).
In terms of mobile gaming, I've been playing a MOBA called Vainglory(Android/iOS) and I've been enjoying the hell out of it. As my post history suggests, it's been my life for the past few months.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Vainglory. It's a great MOBA in its own right, and certainly the most polished MOBA on mobile by far. It's also fairly gorgeous. You can enable max resolution to make it look even better but I can't comment on how that will affect performance.
Edit: I've also played a lot of tower defense games, but these are the two favorites that come to mind. These will actually challenge you, and allow you to build paths instead of preset tower spots.

Vainglory - Game of the Year
Vainglory, for me, absolutely wins Game of the year, and at the same time pretty much smokes any kind of competition for this title. (Sorry Battlestation Harbinger, Space Marshals and Subterfuge), while also setting new standards for android gaming on future titles in the graphics and optimization department imo. Here are some of my reasons:
- Incredibly polished
- Top notch game servers with competitive level latency (sub 30ms)
- INSANE graphics comparable to a desktop title. For example (all in-game): screen1, screen2
- One of the most optimized games on android, runs 45-60fps on almost any kind of hardware (I even tested it a Snapdragon 615 and Adreno 305)
- All its IAP can be acquired for free at a decent rate (champion/hero unlocks for example)
- It constantly receives new content updates which expand it's universe.
- It's fully multiplatform (android/iOS)
- It won Apple's Design Award of 2015. Source

How's it going with the streaming? I play an excess of games and have contemplated it. Might be nice for those times when I don't have a buddy online to play with.
Also, I don't know if it holds any appeal, but there's actually (and finally) a good MOBA on tablets. Vainglory, available on Android and iOS. Very polished and well adapted for touch. Heck, you can even Twitch stream it (at least on Android, dunno how that works on iOS).

Most insanely good looking games run at 25-30fps, but Vainglory runs at 45-60fps 95% of the time, and it also runs just as well on non flagship devices.
