Don't take it personally. It's just that you're a bit late to the party, the changes are 1-2 months old now for many users. People here are tired of talking about it.
And no matter how much we complain here, and on the app stores, the people running OkC have shown 0 signs of caring about our feedback.
Alice is still listed on this article: https://help.okcupid.com/article/28-contact
However, when I go to the "About" page of the website, I see that Alice is no longer listed with the other employees. I think she's definitely gone, it's just that the website is very inconsistent about updating.
I have no idea about Laurelin. Maybe she's gone too.
Like you say, this really is a mess! It's not even just the website either, I was curious so I checked the Google App Store and apparently the app version is having some serious bug issues too. Supposedly, the stacks in DoubleTake won't update or will even disappear.

Don't forget to leave a thoughtful review about your experiences with 0 people even possibly being able to see your messages so far.
I don't know how seriously they take feedback from the surveys or the feedback form, but there are a couple other ways to contact them you could try.
1) Write a review on the Google App Store.
2) Write a reply on one of their Twitter posts, or make a tweet @OKCupid.
Light-speed backpedaling. What rubs me off a lot is the hypocrisy and underhandedness about the backpedaling. What I'd expect is a conspicuous apology, since the outcry was large.
Instead, there was this huggyfeely tweet that makes it sound to unsuspecting visitors like they are actually saying they encourage you to preserve your privacy, without mentioning this is in response to their initially very privacy-jeopardizing change (but who are they fooling? it's enough to look at the hundreds of replies to know what it's all about!).
Then, as a Twitter user reported, they changed one of their help pages which initially recommended "don't share your real name" into "don't share your full name", so that their policy couldn't be accused of internal inconsistency — just as they no longer have "don't share your real name" in their safety tips page, which they did have in 2016.
Then their purported staff member here (I'm still not convinced they are one, but if so, they sure have been allowed to have that flair for a long time) goes full Orwell and tells me things like "that never happened", "<em>nobody</em> was banned for having or not having a first name set", and other notes from a similar tune, despite there being an email from an OkCupid spokesperson that admits there are "banned words" in names (so, which one is it: can people never be banned for it, or are there even automatically banned names?).
And on Google Play where people are all leaving scorching reviews, they just keep copypasting the same response in an attempt to reinforce their "adjusted" line, which says you can use nicknames or initials (not very easy to use your first name initial when the minimum length is two letters!), trying to make people forget their idea was originally very different:
> Of course, we also want OkCupid to be a safe and happy place for everyone. We're not asking for your full, legal name. You can use a nickname if you'd like, or initials, or anything you'd like to be called by your date. Learn more about our decision here: http://bit.ly/2BQL3J5
Blah blah blah.

Still shows up for me. Temporary thing maybe? If anyone has it installed can you check if that link says it's already installed?
