Krona Sunlight hasn't left my wrist in months. It's beautiful, modern, and actually does something only a smartwatch can do, unlike all the analog face remakes.
I'm really into Krona Sunlight. you get the entire day's temperature, precipitation, weather conditions, battery level, and date, and yes, TIME all at a glance.
I use it for the following on a daily basis;
The watch faces I use are Krona Sunlight and Black Classic Watch Face. Krona might be the best one I've ever seen. It gives so much information at such a quick glance. It might take you a little bit to get used to, but it's oh so worth it. Black Classic is extremely customizable, which is why I'm currently using it. Also great with the Google Fit integration.
That's so true. There are a lot more apps, but the vast majority of them are terrible. The only app I really miss from WearOS is the Krona Sunlight Watch Face.
It's by far the most intuitive weather watch face I've seen and is better than anything on Tizen. Besides that, I don't miss anything from WearOS and it's not worth giving up the Tizen battery life for it.
Krona Sunlight https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight and Marine Commander https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bosenko.watchface.marinecommander are my most used
I've been rocking Krona Sunlight for a while: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight&hl=en
Its great to glance at my watch and instantly be able to tell the weather throughout the next 24 hours period.
It doesn't have everything you want, but it has most. This is the best weather face I've seen.
I keep coming back to it despite other faces looking cooler or more unique.
Still waiting for my zenwatch 2 to arrive, but these peaked my interest from another thread.

I have a 360 Sport and like it very much. I love the convenience of having notifications and other apps on my wrist, especially when in meetings at work. The reason I picked it over the Huawei watch is because of the fitness component. I use it to track Spin class and runs. I even shower with it on. The band doesn't get nearly as dirty as I thought it would, and cleans easily in water. I hold off from saying I love it because the Moto Body software really only works really well with running. If it supported other activity modes like cycling, spinning, weight lifting, etc it would be far more useful. Endomondo is good for cycling, and shares data nicely with Google Fit and Moto Body, but I'd prefer it to be in one app. Also I'm experiencing a weird bug right now where Moto Body Run is incrementing time in 3 second chunks, which is really throwing off the heart rate zone calculations.
But I digress, if you're going to use your watch for fitness tracking stick with the 360 sport, if you want a more refined look switch to the Huawei watch.
Bonus Opinion: My favorite watch face is Krona Sunlight , it's an amazing weather oriented watch face. I love it so much that I haven't used anything else in 6 months. It very cleverly shows the next 24 hours worth of weather be using a colored ring around the outside of the watch face. Yellow tick marks are sun, Gray tick marks are clouds, blue tick marks indicate rain. The relative height of the tick marks indicates the temperature based on the next 24hr high/low temp forecast (taller tick marks are the high, smaller tick marks are the low). It also clearly tells you the current forecast based on your location, and the battery level of the watch. You can even tap the face to view the wind forecast, which as a sailor I appreciate very much. I'm not the developer I just genuinely love the watch face and would pay for again if I had to.
I enjoyed usingKrona Sunlight but currently I'm using Timr which is a nice simple watch face that has everything I need.
This is my favorite watch face. I've gone through a ton (including minimal & elegant, pujie black, some popular blue one, and many many others). I've settled on Krona Sunlight. So much information at-a-glance, so customizable. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight&hl=en
Krona Sunlight Watchface. I've tried a ton of watchfaces. None have even come close to the utility of this watchface. It looks complicated, but it's not. You learn how it works in less than a minute.
Any chance of adding. A watch face for Wear users? Krona Sunlight is the one I've used for years due to the huge convenience it gives for the next 24 hours. If I could get that convenience I wouldn't be so attached to it.
I'm an outlier here. I silence all my notifications except for texts and calls. So my watch is used most often to:
The Krona Sunlight watchface can't be beat for it's information density.
I suppose it does track my steps, but that's more of a passive thing.
Take a look at this watchface: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight&hl=en
It lets you have a green and blue bar around the outer edge that signifies battery life. Here's what it looks like on my ZenWatch: http://i.imgur.com/Exy1cA7.png
Install Krona Sunlight and Wear aware. For me these two installs changed the watch so much from great to awesome.
I got in on that deal too!! $70 was too low to pass up.
I literally got the watch so I could use the Krona Sunlight watch face.. I love it so freaken much!!!
I purchased what I thought would be a lux, metal mesh magnetic band. Hated the band almost immediately. I ordered a replacement on amazon.. any 20MM band will do, tho make sure it's not kids size or it wont fit your wrist. I'm old and never had a band with the little slider built into the pin, wow - what a convenience. the $10 silicone replacement band I got had them too, so swapping was easy. I might get a second one with a fun color just as an option.
I assigned the upper button to Google Maps - it's like haveing a real life, mini-map..
The lower button to translator, so if I run into someone that doesn't speak english I have it ready.
What apps are you excited for?
If you can build a similar watchface to Krona Sunlight for WearOS, that would be splendid!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
It shows the changing temperature, rain amount and cloudiness over 24h with the help of coloured rings. Much more info than any other watchface out there.
Curious to know what you settle on. I like lots of information thrown in my face, so I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight&hl=en_US
It shows current weather, current cloud cover/rain, cloud cover/rain over the next 24 hours, and a few other things. Get more if you subscribe (but I haven't done that).
Krona Sunlight https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
Been using it for ages on first gen Samsung, Sony SW3 and now on round faces it's even prettier.
24h dial for temperature, cloud coverage and precipitation preview is awesome. Just adjust the sizes to small or tiny in the phone app to use less space and be closer to the edge.
Can you do me a favor? I haven't gotten my new watch yet, but I'm getting one of these in the mail in the next few days;
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight&hl=en_US Can you see if this watch face can be loaded on to it? :)
I continually keep coming back to krona sunlight. It's the only app I've ever even thought about getting a recurring subscription to.
Seeing the weather, time, battery levels, and who's calling or texting at a glance is well worth the $60 I spent on my Moto 360 Sport.
Setting reminders and timers via voice is incredibly handy, but I only ever do it when I'm not in public.
The Krona Sunlight watchface tells me what the whether is going to be like for the next 24 hours in the most succinct way I can imagine. Been using it since day 1 with my watch.
Card previews were annoying AF, so I turned those off. I've blocked all other notifications from showing on my watch because I don't need any of that on my wrist.
10/10, would buy again.
Only in ambient mode. Krona Sunlight Pic is a great face though, especially if you aspire to be a weather genius.
Truth be told the moto360 v2 has all of these. You can choose your own watch face (Krona seems like what you want), easily detachable straps, and I get almost 2 days from a full charge. Plus when you're not using it the screen is on ambient so you can see the time and anything else the face you use has to offer on ambient (like current temp). If you don't want it on ambient (say to conserve battery life even more) you can double press the crown and it goes into "theater mode" which is display off.
I've been pleased with mine. I've had it for one year and it's become my daily watch.
Having tried these, I really like them... when I moved from Android Wear to Pebble, the one thing I really missed was Krona Sunlight. These faces came closest to giving me back the density of information while still being attractive.
But the battery impact really needs to be looked at. I generally average something between 6- 8 days, depending in what face I have enabled... with either of these, it was down to ~3 days.
I like this one https://facerepo.com/app/faces/details/br-03-92-14d743777fe for just a simple face that is easy to read in ambient mode
I also use this quite a bit also https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight&hl=en
It's my Dress face, my normal every day wear face is Krona Sunlight; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight&hl=en - I get about two days of power out of it if I don't use my watch heavily.
I've tried 100 times to change watchfaces, but I can't pull myself away from the Krona Sunlight one. It's not the most beautiful, but its so damn useful...
Maybe we should get a list going - do we have a wiki?
Krona Sunlight surprisingly enough doesn't use more battery than stock for me. Currently using Spotlight, also with stock battery drain, and very OLED friendly.
I bring my LG G3 with me. When I don't fiddle with it constantly it lasts about three days with some wiggle room. It also has removable batteries that can be charged in a dock outside the phone. I connect this dock to a powerpack that in turn is connected to a solar panel that covers most of the back of my Khard 45.
I also bring my Smart Watch (LG G Watch R) because Krona Sunlight is an amazing friend to have with you. It lasts about three days as well, but also has a smaller battery, so it chargers fairly quickly.
In my backpack I also have an inReach Explorer Extreme Communication Kit which sounds a lot more extreme than it is. It has, however, been awesome so far that I've had it.
Bottom line, I wouldn't rely on my smart phone to be able to be charged and have service, but I do bring it for when it does. Keep a backup for safety though.
Before I got my GWAR, I thought I would mostly be using analog watch faces, but IMHO none of them looked as good IRL than they did when seen on a screen, so I soon decided that they weren't for me.
When I got it, I cycled through faces daily, then settled one three which I cycled through about weekly, but after about three months I discovered Krona Sunlight Watchface, and I have been using only that ever since. The way it displays weather information is so different from what other watchfacces do that I haven't been able to go back.
I'll try this out for sure! The last link is priceless...I've installed and uninstalled at least a dozen, since most of them either don't tell you the providers, or like this one, don't list them all unfortunately. Thanks! /Runs off to grab Chronus... :D
PS - Krona Sunlight (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight) is my favorite, but it's just not accurate where I live. I love how the data is presented, really easy to pick up and know a lot of info at a quick glance.
Since others have already recommended Weather Timeline (which rocks), I'll also mention Krona Sunlight Watchface. It's a beautiful watchface that puts a detailed forecast on the screen. Rather unique way of displaying it. I've found its weather sources don't seem to be quite as accurate as Forecast.io where I live, but it's worth checking out for nice glanceable weather information.
I've been using Krona Sunlight and I've enjoyed it, particularly once I figured out how to interpret that it is the next 24hours from the current minute, so the previous minute is actually the weather for 23 hr 59 min from now. And, I think it looks nice.
It always surprises me when people say this, mine lasts this long with always on on. Then again, I keep fit off and don't have a ton of apps running on it. Also, to add to this thread my face lately has been https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
Loving my G Watch R! Currently using Krona Sunlight as my daily driver. Still looking for a good "formal" one that could go with blacktie requirement.
Also works great with the Suunto Clippers Compass!

Such a nice way to see the forecast for the next 24 hours. And very accurate for me at least.
I'm all about the Krona Sunlight watchface. I did a long explanation here.
To save you the trouble of clicking:
> Basically, the outer circle is the weather for the next 24 hour period of time. There is a line running though the circle at the current time. > > The thickness of the outer circle is the temperature. Thicker = hotter, thinner = colder. > > The color is the cloud coverage. Yellow = sunny, White = cloudy, Light Blue - night sky, dark blue = cloudy sky > > An extra blue or white ring appears when snow or rain is coming, and the thickness of this extra circle is how heavy the rain/snow will be. > > Also, the high/low temperature on the watch face is for the upcoming 24 hour period... NOT for the current day! Super useful. > > This picture should help explain
I can't get enough of Krona Sunlight, my favorite weather watchface.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight&hl=en_GB
Very information dense, while still being pretty
For me it's the Krona Sunlight.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
Noon at the top, Midnight at the bottom, showing hours of daylight, clouds, rain, etc.
Krona Sunlight 24 hour weather details in a nice design.
Been rocking Krona Sunlight. Information density at its finest.
Krona Sunlight is my go-to - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
How about Krona Sunlight? Been using it since forever, well designed and gives you all the information you need at a glance.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
Krona Sunlight. Beautiful and packed with info.
Krona Sunlight. Amazing watchface.
Has temperature, cloud prognosis, rain, wind info, etc.
Krona sunlight. Still works, and it's still the best way to see a weather forecast.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
Some initial feedback; the intro screen is poorly designed.
It says "Start" at the bottom right, but this gives the impression that you'll be skipping the intro. I tried swiping between the intro screens, but couldn't. Once I press start I can't go back to the previous screen.
The design of the screen explaining what the permissions are for is great! Very clean and easy to understand. However, I had to restart the app once to get the location permission to be checked off. It was probably allowed once I hit allow, but the UI didn't reflect that.
The screen about Android Wear 1.5 and 2.0 is a good addition, but is also a bit confusing unless you're already "in the know" of Android Wear. It says to find it in Google Play Store if you have 2.0, but it's not explicitly stated that this refers to the store on the watch. I suspect some people went "For gods sake I already did that".
Lastly, I redeemed the a premium code NKD2UU4TM8DQ80MSH1QV8CM. It appears to have redeemed successfully, yet the watch face still says "this is a premium feature" when I tap certain elements on the watchface. I also have no idea where to tap for what, or what "4 unique time display" even means.
The watchface itself isn't bad or poorly designed, but it's also not really that special. I run Krona Sunlight daily and it offers me a multitude of features, which would make it difficult to convince me to switch over. This, of course, won't lead to a bad review.
In summary after just fiddling around a bit with it now (I'll test it more through the day), I think the issue here is that it's simply not fleshed out. At it's current state it's a good concept, but it's not quite there. It's not clear what the premium features are, or what I can do with them. Some of the introduction and explanations need some work, and there is no explanation for how to make my watchface understand that I have premium now. It appears stuck on non-premium. If someone was to buy premium and then can't get it to work, I can understand them giving a bad review.
You want Krona Sunlight. Never saw more info in one screen.
Here's my swipe list (in order of usage frequency I guess):
Krona - still the best weather watchface, what bothers me a bit is the lack of updates
Pujie - nothing more to say about Pujie, I have linked the setup I use
Venom - one of the few watchfaces that lets you use app shortcuts and actually pulls it off without disrupting the design
Places - part of the Looks suite by ustwo, shows a map outline of the place you're currently at. Nice and original.
Nova - nothing but time but great design
ArcAngle - nothing but time but great design
Moonphase - one of the HW1 stock watchfaces, great looking but the hideous ambient mode keeps me from using it more
If you want a highly functioning weather watch face that also looks great then I would highly recommend Krona Sunlight.
Same idea but I prefer Krona Sunlight's take on it.
Krona Sunlight, alone, made my Moto 360 worth the purchase.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight&hl=en
My favorite and daily driver for months now, at a glance 24 hour weather every time you look at your watch.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
By far the best I've seen
Krona Sunlight. Give it the tiny bit of time it takes to learn it, and you'll never feel the need to change.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight&hl=en
I was using the one Apoplectic1 suggested, then I found the one above. I have the LG G Watch
I love the way weather and light are presented in a 24 hour cycle.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
TicWatch E with Krona Sunlight watchface.
Give this a shot. Its ambient mode can be fully configured to be almost as identical as it's active display.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
Maybe this is it
Though you need to download it via the Play Store on the Watch if you're on Android Wear 2.0.
Krona Sunlight is a good one but honestly all you can do is test them out for yourself.
I use Krona Sunlight. It's all I wear anymore.
This one. Krona Sunlight. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
It doesn't use complications but it'd info dense and gorgeous and has many options. It's my go to.
My favorite is the Krona Sunlight Watchface due to its weather interface, it's not free though.
Play link, in case anyone else was interested in seeing more about this face:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight&hl=en
I've had mine about 10 months, no problems.
My main watchface is Krona and I see no burn-in at all.
Sorry I bunged it up. It's KronA with an A.
Can't beat krona sunlight
This is the only watch face I use: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.marscity.sunlight
> A lot of info for my watch face.
Compared to mine your watch face is empty..
I've gotten so used to Krona that I can't use any other face.
