Thanks!
I use the free app called Range Buddy. Its a pain in the ass to learn since the instructions suck, but once you learn its actually fairly easy.
Yeah being serious those are awesome groups all around!
The app is range buddy for androis. The instructions fucking suck, so use the online manual.
~~Looks like "Range Buddy" from the android store.~~ OP confirmed his software. Range Buddy looks similar in output.
Yeah it's an app for Android called Range Buddy (SubMOA for iPhone). It's my first time using it and it wasn't very intuitive but seems to work fine once you figure it out.
I found an app for Android that does this Range Buddy. I tested it with a target I had laying around. Works well enough. Little me manual than I'd like. But it works.
Android: RangeBuddy: (free and paid versions) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.reloaderscloud.rangebuddy
Don't have iOS... but there are some paid options out there.
The webapp works on most mobile browsers (tablet is best).
Thanks so much for sharing your results @uninc4life2010!
They probably weren't what you were looking for, but it is reality and I'm glad I'm not the only one who shoots like this. Good work on the hand loads btw. Goes to show what a little bullet love will do.
The ammo for 223/5.56 is so cheap you often can't even buy the actual reloading bullets (projectiles) for what you can buy complete cartridges for like Wolf Gold or Fiocchi. (I pay about 26cpr for those. I like Fiocchi too, just need more stats with it.)
I'm looking at maybe starting reloading too (haven't done since I was a kid) and did some quick price calcs with new unfired brass and it appears it will run around 50-60cpr to make bullets like yours, not counting the equipment investment and time.
RE trigger I'd be interested in hearing if it makes a difference but I suspect it prob won't be measurable if the gun is already in a sled. FWIW the Geissele SSA-E was on sale on Brownells for $165 shipped this week. Check out r/gundeals .
I'm probably going to use software like Rangebuddy and/or ontarget to keep track of groups and produce decent stats. Now I just need the weather to cooperate and I can hopefully post up some worthy results.
Thanks again for sharing. IMO it's very important people see this to set expectations for what the AR is likely to do in the real world.
The new chronographs with apps are cool, no doubt. But, even with my 20 year old Beta Master Chrony, I just take my phone with me and enter my velocities into Excel/Google sheets as I go.
For Android, RangeBuddy is what I use to record targets/groups. There is a Pro version that adds Reloader's Cloud.
That ain't dumb. It's Range Buddy
I cannot vouch for this app, I have not used it personally, but here

Just tested the app out, not a bad app.
Here is a link for OP or anybody else.
If you use and Android phone there is RangeBuddy which should suit your needs.
I haven't used it, but if on android this may be good: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.reloaderscloud.rangebuddy
Decent usage video: https://youtu.be/Trh0a_F0KL0
If on iOS: TargetScan: https://youtu.be/5HFdcyrpstY
edit- targetscan is on android too it seems
Supposedly Range Buddy works, but I haven't gotten a chance to try it yet.
Supposedly Range Buddy works, but I've never used it.
