Get Barcode Scanner Plus by zxing, where the devs are endorsed by Google themselves so you know it's safe.

It's not ideal but may work in a pinch, Barcode scanner + will let you export your history of scans to a csv I believe.

Same for me, but I'm running CM13. I also noticed this problem with Barcode Scanner+ as well as in Pokémon Go. Google Camera, Barcode Scanner, and others are not having this problem.

I'm not sure what causes this though.
