I've never used the chess.com app so I don't mean to disparage, but, if you have access to the Android app store, the lichess app is superb.

lichess is likely the most complete chess app out there. I particularly enjoy the randomly generated puzzles. Every match gives you statistics so you get a clue of your own playing style. Can play against AI or internet opponent, can add friends and follow others' matches. The match could be started on mobile and continued on the website, or vice versa. If you love chess, this is a must have.
That's honestly really bizzare, it's strange how some games don't implement the complete chess ruleset. Anyway, lichess implements all the special moves: castling, promotion and en passant capturing. It also supports various different variants of chess, such as Chess960.

For free mobile app you can play offline with Free Chess from AI Factory. Or if you want online there's Lichess Online (link below).
For other platform such as PC (Steam) or PS4, there's Ultra Chess and I love this one personally. You won't regret buying this one.
Try out Lichess.
A huge part of this app is online based but you can play offline against a machine (with varying degree of complexity ). You can turn your phone into a chess board for two physical players. Save all your moves and analyse later.
Now for the online part. This app is maintained by professional players and you can get real time match analysis, daily puzzles and Tips n tricks ( more like massive homeworks). They also have archived matches, that you can go through along with a proposed better move for each turn.
The chess app I have
I think by default it has legal moves turned on but you can disable that
List made using List My Apps
Edit: I mean it has a highlight of legal moves enabled and you can disable that.
Been playing lichess, which is basically an app for playing chess vs ai/other people. It has a lot of nice features for learning which makes it better than other chess apps, even paid ones.

Also trying out Momentum. I'm too tired to explain this one. Here is the link:

Hey there! Hows it going my open source wizard?
I have another request, and unfortunately its almost as specific as last time....
I would like the lichess app to be listed on fdroid for easier updating/auditing by the team.
Its essentially a chess app that connects to game servers and also hosts streams and competitions. Its already open source (web server/site, app, and game){so it shouldn't get the "promotes non-free network services" badge of shame} and has both a github and google play repo. Linked below:
https://github.com/veloce/lichobile/releases
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.lichess.mobileapp
Thank you so much in advance! If not no worries I can do direct install for this one.
I don't think Lichess has 3 player chess, but it was talked about a couple of years back. I think they also have 4 player chess now too, if you want to check them out.
Chesstempo is for puzzles lichess is for games. Lemme see if i can get a link. Apple or android?

Not really word or number based but Lichess is one of my favourite apps, not just games, but out of them all. It has a puzzle of the day and "Training" mode.
It's free, open source, backed by a great community. No account needed.
Oh I see, I'm sorry, I thought you meant that you were busy for work and it was a time issue etc but you'd play together in the same place. But I don't want to be completely unhelpful so if you want something that you can play on a potato device thats completely free, it's not for everyone but lichess is what I play with friends and family.
Most of the features are behind a paywall and it's riddled with ads.
It's OK if you pay for it, but the lichess app is free, so why bother. Just get this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.lichess.mobileapp
Something from www.choiceofgames.com (they have mobile apps - two completely free, most free for first chapter, some purchase-to-play only). There are some really high quality stories.
In the play store, search for "Choice of Games" or "Hosted Games" (the competing developer).
There's always:
ICE
Motorsport Manager
Random Adventure Roguelike
Pirates and Traders
Pinball Deluxe
Portalize (think, Portal, for your phone)
Pixel Dungeon (there are so many remakes... Start with the original and then try the others)
Hero's of Steel

Bonus: Smash Hit - it'll look great on your phone.
Lichess. Free and open source Chess app. Great community, and my favourite Chess app out of them all. Cross platform too.
yes, of course... but, for me its better the web :-). But, yes https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.lichess.mobileapp

I always recommend lichess to everyone. Free, open source, no ads, great community and it's good to know how to play it young.
use lichess app, its very user friendly, shows multiple lines evaluation, and move reviews. You can also review your mistakes, save your analysis etc. All for free ad-free.

I kinda remember Smyslov, but I don't think I ever looked at his games. When I was very young I was obsessed with Mikhail Tal. I used to play over his World Championship games with Botvinik [spelling?].
Not so long ago I re-watched that Queens Indian Fischer played against Spassky at Rekyjavik, 1972. I think it was game 6. Wow!!!
BTW, I came across LI Chess. It's a free website and an App. It's a nice alternative to chess.com.

This is the best Chess game you can get, it's a great free, open-source project: Lichess.
But it's a very specific game lol. Also check out what Nintendo has on offer. I've also been playing Motorsport Manager Online because I'm a FE fan.

I'd vote for lichess. No ads, no iap, open source. What more could you ask for?
Just use lichess. It's FOSS, and perfectly good for pretty much all chess purposes.
Lichess is a damn fine Chess app. Free and open source.
The History of Everything is a great looking and free educational history and science app.
YouTube Kids is a thing for, well, kids.
It's Lichess
haven't played much in the last 3-4 weeks, but according to the play games app, these are my last 5 games:
Magium in particolare non è propriamente un gioco, è praticamente un piccolo libro interattivo. Stra-consigliato.
Edit: giochi a cui mi ricordo di aver giocato (quindi mi sono piaciuti molto): reigns, piano tiles e atomas. Quizup pure, ma non so se ci giochi ancora qualcuno.
