I have to recommend TV Series this week. Design wise its awesome and features wise I'm very happy too. Do give it a try. A truly worthy alternative to Series guide.
I tried this app but I find TV Series to be much more immersive. The developer is very good to respond and latest version added new Marshmellow support for auto backup (although it uses track.tv also).
I'm not sure if it has list support, but my favorite show tracking app was TV Series.
I stopped using it years ago, because I discovered Trakt and TV Series didn't have Trakt support back then, but in the meantime they introduced it, I was just too used to SeriesGuide by then and I decided not to re-download TV Series, but in the app's description it says there's lists, I'm just not sure if that means Trakt lists or just offline lists.

This is the app I've been using for ages. It's got pretty detailed notification settings. Can have it notify you either immediately when a show starts, or however long before you'd like.
Dude... This is the best app ever created and it's 100% free.
I use it to track all my TV shows (I think they even have movies too).
For TV shows, I personally use the app TV Series. It has beautiful material design along with numerous features. Perfect in my opinion, no other app can compare.
I started using TV Series after seeing a post on reddit from one of the devs a week or two ago. It seems to have what you're looking for. I haven't seen an option to sync it with your personal calendar but there is a calendar within the app that will notify you when there are new episodes of the shows you watch. It's a very well designed app with different layout options.
I think TV Series is the best app like this and the best looking one, but trakt support doesn't work since trakt was updated (though maybe they already fixed it, I don't know).
>Hmm, I was out of touch with your recent developments, even though I religiously use your app on a daily basis. So does that mean that sooner or later you will drop TV Series app for good and only develop SeriesFad? And how do we sign up for SeriesFad beta?
This app will be published on top of TV Series, so when the BETA program will end, only SeriesFad will exists.
You can join the BETA from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fema.serietv2.
Please note that the BETA is still rolling out, so even if you join the BETA now you may still not receive the update immediately.
I use THIS APP. Unfortunately you have to manually add all the shows you watch... But after that, it's a breeze! It even has a TV Show calendar too. Pretty cool IMO.
There's an app that does this for every other series (Hulu show or not) called "TV Series". Idk if it's on Apple but there's an Android version.
Holy shit, this is exactly the app I've been looking for. I use this app to track my shows, and I've needed one to keep track of my game backlog. Love that it can import from your PSN ID. Will be getting premium
I have seen this app come up before: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fema.serietv2 I don't know if it does movies or not though but it seems like it would work for TV shows. I don't know if the movie thing will be out there since movies don't have new episodes so that isn't a thing to track. Maybe just use imdb and create a list or Keep with a list?
I prefer TV Series.
Series Guide is also popular in these environs.
Edit: I change my mind. Series Guide is awesome.
Maybe this? (google play store)
I use TV Series because it has tons of features and beautiful material design. SeriesGuide is a bit ugly in my opinion.
I use this app... It is really helpful.
You can also use IMDB to maintain lists
TV Series is my favorite.
I use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fema.serietv2
It has the best trakt integration IMHO
I have an app called "TV Series" that works pretty well for me. I track tokus and animes with it.

This https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fema.serietv2 and IMDb.
TV series is a simpel one I've been using for around 8 years now. Link

Fairly straightforward and simple to use
You can always read the summary of a particular episode. Wikipedia and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fema.serietv2 is what I use.
I use this app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fema.serietv2
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fema.serietv2 is the superior one imo.
~~linkme: TV Series~~
EDIT: The bot pulled the wrong link. It's TV Series: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fema.serietv2
It's called TV Series, here's the Google Play link. I don't know if it's available on the App Store, but I'm sure some alternatives are.
I use TV Series. It has material design, calender view, upcoming episodes, a nice widget, and much more.
Thanks, this is perfect. I haven't had a notification yet but I assume that works as well.

Well, that's SeriesGuide, we're the developers of TV Series, another application ;) You can check it out here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fema.serietv2
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fema.serietv2
hidden gem of the play store. literally one of the best apps I've ever seen. better than series guide imo
SeriesGuide if you need trakt syncing, TV Series if you don't.
Just some personal notes on a few of those apps.
