I have been experimenting with a few, including setting up GIMP for pixel art on my desktop, but I actually only had my phone available when I did this. Pretty sure I used Pixly (Android) for this one, which worked better than I expected an app on my phone to!
Thanks!
I have never tried hexels do you recommend it? I have been using Pixly on my tablet, which is imo the best pixel art app on Android.
Pretty partial to Pixly. The dev of Pixly has come here and on other subreddits asking pixel artists for what they desire in an app and has been very responsive.

This is the tool I used to make my logo:

Also useful:
For trimming away the interface elements out of a screenshot to produce a clean image.

For sketching the idea behind the logo on the fly.

Aseprite is very widely used, with many useful features.
Pixly is on par with Aseprite, but is only available for Android devices.
All of these have animation features, although I'm not sure if Piskel or Pixly have onion skinning.
A lot of good ideas here. It's neat to see what techniques and tools other people use to stay organized. Like some others, I have a full time job, I'm a husband and a father, so my time to work on making games is rather limited.
My current project is to try to make a game a week, which doesn't allow much time to waste. What seams to work for me, is to plan things out, (I use Asana to keep organized) and to always have something I can game dev with. Which is usually my phone, so I have a few tools like Pixly for sprites, SFXR and Voice Changer With Effects for sound effects, Pixitracker for music, Autosync Dropbox to get everything over to my computer for when I sit down to work on stuff. I still mostly do stuff on my computer but being able to cross a couple things off the list while I'm waiting in line or something helps.
pixly!and thanks :)
thank youuu :) i used this app 'pixly'
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/minecraft/creator/documents/resourcepack At the bottom of the page you can find the default resource pack. Then you can replace any of the textures in it. I personally like to use Pixly for that.
Make sure to change the manifest like in the tutorial or minecraft may not accept it. This is also helpfull. Btw com.mojang on phones is in Android/data/com.mojang.minecraftpe/files/games/com.mojang
It's made with Pixly.
I know for android (not sure on IOS) Pixly is a good editor. Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.meltinglogic.pixly&hl=en_GB Couldn't find a link for IOS
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.meltinglogic.pixly&hl=cs seems quite popular
this one? it's a pretty basic pixel art editor. i spent a few days working on this from scratch.
