Not one I've seen mentioned, but I have to suggest GoodRx.
I have an HSA through my work and so I pay substantially more for my prescriptions, and this app gives you great discounts. For example, my main medication was about $65 a month. I looked it up on GoodRx and it was $16. There are further discounts too for those willing to do some kind of annual subscription.
Cool app. Check it out if you have to pay for monthly subscriptions.
I'll plug an app: GoodRX. My wife is an APRN and that's what she uses and recommends to her patients. It not only provides coupons, it also tells you which pharmacy has the lowest price.
Check out that GoodRX app.. Says Adderall is about $30 for 60 without insurance but put in your zip code, strength and quantity, might be even cheaper.
I highly suggest getting the medication app GoodRx.
Edit: The app has coupons for many meds. Along with price comparisons. You can search by condition or med. For example: I get $148 insulin for $24 thanks to this app.
Took a skim as well, and looked at the imaging - I'm not an expert on the disease but from my knowledge (MD) they're legit & enough details match that the story seems legit as well.
/u/popemichael I'm so sorry you're going through this. I can't give you any life or medical advice, but maybe I can help with the medicines themselves.
Have you tried getting in touch with the manufacturer of your medications to see if they have copay assistance?
Your doctor's office may have samples depending on what you're taking - Unless there's something new out I believe the first line for bone pain/bony symptoms are the bisphoshponates like alendronate (Fosomax). This page is Merck's patient/copay assistance program.
This page is needymeds.org, they have a massive list of drugs and links to assistance programs. I know hyper & hypothyroidism is also fairly common with this condition, and you should have been checked for that as it can worsen bone density loss. Help for thyroid meds like methimazole should also be on needymeds.
If none of that works see if the doctor's office has GoodRx cards (they look like this - but don't use that picture). If they don't, I can try and snag one from one of our offices and send the picture/mail the card to you, I don't know it it'll help with whatever medicines your on but it can't hurt.
GoodRx also has an app(google play link, and here is the apple app store link) where you can search your medicine and see local prices, some places have a significant cash discount.
since we are on the topic, how about apps like goodrx or buzzrx etc, how do they work?
