You are fortunate that your bet didn't involve any money, cuz it is quite a ridiculous take.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fastemulator.gbc - paid Emulator, no game pre loaded, rating =4.7/5
Crystal Clear is a ROM, so you just need an emulator that can run .gbc
(Gameboy Color) ROMs. Most Gameboy Emulators should be able to run .gbc
files.
I use My Oldboy! on Android and it works fine.
As votemarvel says, My Boy! doesn't include GB/GBC emulation for some reason.
They instead offer that as a separate app, My OldBoy!.
Im running it on https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fastemulator.gbc (Old Boy! - GBC Emulator for Android).
I've had no issues playing gen 1 or 2 games and also has the option to trade with yourself (can run 2 games at once to trade which is how I evolved Gengar)
The "My OldBoy!" GBC/GB Emulator on the Google Play Store:
My OldBoy! Emulator on Google Play Store
Is a dual GameBoy Color/Original GameBoy emulator with amazing results.
And developer "Fast Emulator's" GBA Emulator "My Boy!" Is on equal footing with the "PizzaBoy GBA Emulator", in MY opinion. The ONLY thing the "My Boy!" Emulator is missing over "PizzaBoy" is the "retro-skins" that PizzaBoy has that make your phone's screen look like an old GBA or GBA SP.
I never used the one you linked so I don't know if it's any good. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fastemulator.gbc&hl=en_US this is the one im using and had no problems with it. You can try the free version but that has ads :((
You know what's even better? Putting an emulator like My OldBoy! on your phone and playing Pokemon anywhere like this
I'm 27 too. I'm a female. I know most people assume because I play video games, I must be a dude.
I downloaded My OldBoy! - GBC Emulator on my phone for Game Boy Color games and My Boy! Free - GBA Emulator for Game Boy Advance games. Now I play Pokemon games when I have free time or am waiting for an appointment or in a doctor's office.
my phone is big enough to where I can use the virtual controls with no problem, it's impractical for me to carry a controller around too XD. also MyOldBoy! has link cable emulation, either on the same device, or over wifi or bluetooth. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fastemulator.gbc&hl=en
My old boy Gameboy emulator so I can play the original Tetris
Wise choice, i assume you're on mobile.
Check out: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fastemulator.gbc
If you are on iOS, sorry i can't help your cause.
The same game is used in the MyOldBoy emulator screenshots: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fastemulator.gbc&hl=en_US
Still trying to figure out what it is.
Acá va :D:
GameBoy Color: My OldBoy! - GBC Emulator (US$ 4,99), versión gratuita. Anda genial: estados de guardado; conexión con cable link en un mismo celu, o con otro celular mediante la misma red de wifi o Bluetooth; va fluido; se puede dejar en segundo plano y no se cierra.
GameBoy Advance: My Boy!
IMO (on Android), there is nothing better than the following, especially concerning Pokémon:
Gameboy/Color: My OldBoy! - GBC Emulator
Gameboy Advance: My Boy! - GBA Emulator
Nintendo DS: DraStic DS Emulator
Nintendo 3DS: Citra Emulator (Early Access on G. Play Store)
Obviously you'll need copies of your game files for all of the above. There's some extra work involved with 3DS games usually, you can do your own research on that.
Note: the first two have free lite versions. If you pay you get access to quite a bit of features including cheats, textures, cloud saves, key/controller mapping, etc. I've spent years searching for the "perfect" emulators and I've had no issues at all with any of these and have been my regular go to's for a very long time now.
Lastly, since you specifically have shown interest in randomizers - you'll want an app like Rom Patcher to handle the IPS files. Or, sometimes you get lucky and someone has already done the work for you when you DL. Hope this helps with your research.
Ooo. I don't really have much knowledge on this. Maybe you should check out r/emulation. But I will tell you what I know! I use emulators on my Android phone. Installed both, My OldBoy! (which is a GameBoy and GameBoy Color Emulator) and My Boy! (which is a GameBoy Advance Emulator). Then I use the site LOVEROMS to download the ROMs of the games I want to play.
Also: here are the free versions of the emulators I linked above. My OldBoy! Free and My Boy! Free. I have no knowledge on emulators for PC, I'm sorry.
I think you're pretty well set for most of those. I would throw in MyBoy! for your GB/GBC needs. I don't know if it's the absolute best since it's the only one I've tried, but I think it's worked great so far so I have no complaints! I use MyBoy! for GBA as well and like it, but if you're using GBA.emu already then no need to change! There's free and paid versions of both MyBoy's, also.
As for N64 I've been using Mupen64Plus Nightlies and it's a well-built app, but all N64 games are just stuttery on my phone no matter what emulator I use. I have an MXPE 2015 and it has been running any other emulator just dandy though. Mabye the Shield will perform better?
And yes Drastic is one of the best emulators I've used, PERIOD, across any device. Definitely the way to go for DS!
Gameboy(color): My OldBoy!
Gameboy Advanced: : MyBoy!
Nintendo DS: DraStic
Playstation portable : PPSSPP
SNES: SuperLegacy16
Nintendo 64: Mupen64
Playstation 1: FPse for android
Nintendo gamecube / wii : Dolphin Emulator (Alpha)
NES: John NES
Dreamcast: Reicast
Remember that if a console is old, it doesn't mean it will run well as some used complex systems that are difficult to emulate even on PC.
