ok, no one cares what i think, but Greenheart stole the game concept from Kairosoft's Gave Dev Story https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.kairosoft.android.gamedev3en&hl=en and does all of their publicity by gimmick. Their game took off when they took on piracy (which was hilarious if it werent a stolen game) and now they are doing this. Stop marketing for these people!
It is always a great game to come back to after a while. Also it and another Kairosoft game is being ported to the Switch
Redeemed it today morning, and played almost for an hour and a half.
This feels truly like a dumbed down version of Game Dev Story
Graphics are great to be honest. An upgrade over GDS, but my phone got a lot heated up during gaming. So, that's a concern.
The game though, felt hollow compared to GDS. Making games isn't much of a budget challenge because you always end up spending low.
Creating hype during start of development of a game, gets substantially reduced when you end the development. Feels like a wastage, and dosen't impact much on the sales.
Also every minute passes, and your fan follow get less. Always. I don't know how this can happen, but unless you advertise your fan following will become less. Also the genre choices and selections while making a game are less compared to GDS.
Also in terms of interaction, this game offers nothing. In GDS, after development, you used to do Debugging that in turn used to get you points to upgrade your playable characters. There is no such thing here. Also, in GDS, every once in a while, some employee would ask you to take more risks that may work or fail, and depending upon whether you want to spend the extra bucks, the game development can improve. This was a sweet addition that I missed here.
I really feel that this game could have made more enjoyable, but at the end, GDS felt more lively, fun and much more challenging to play.
Game Dev Tycoon is an awful clone of Game Dev Story (which is unfortunately not available on PC in English (and not on Linux at all (unless one counts Android))).
And if you don't want to wait.. go play the game they copied! (though Game Dev Tycoon is fun too, but it's a rather blatent copy of Game Dev Story)

There's a great game dev on android who only makes management sims.
Their best game is game dev story. Where you manage a development studio. Designing games and even consoles.
They have countless others. Managing malls, tennis clubs, airports, etc.

OP is talking about this game released by a Japanese studio Kairosoft on the Android platform Game Dev Story.
You can play Game Dev Story, the game from Game Dev Tycoon gets all it's ideas (it's quite the clone). It's only on mobile, I think, but well, bluestacks or Win11 can help with that: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.kairosoft.android.gamedev3en&hl=es&gl=US
Strategy, Simulator, Casual.
Any of these three, I believe.
I liked Game Dev Story.
You may also like AdVenture Capitalist.
I'm talking about this game. This came out years before Game Dev Tycoon and I'm pretty sure it's just a complete rip with a bit fancier graphics.
Game Dev Story.
You manage a company from the ground up and make video games. Simple but complex. Addictive.

They have a free version too, so try that first if not convinced. Also the developer makes a ton of other manager/ simulation mobile games. Like malls, trains, airports, manga, feudal towns, racing, tennis, etc. Look through their other stuff.
Enjoy.

A bit of their description on play store: "Manage your own game company and try to create a million-selling game in this unique simulation..."
[e: spelling]
Game Dev Story is fairly popular. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.kairosoft.android.gamedev3en&hl=en
As is Grand Prix Story https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.kairosoft.android.paddock_en&hl=en
I personally like their town management games though, like Dungeon Village.

You need kairosoft in your life.
I would recommend game dev story as a starter.
You mean the original Game Dev Story by Kairosoft? Been on Android for ages.
Or did you mean that silly remake people mistakenly seem to think was an original idea?
My favourite Android game of all time is Game Dev Story. I started playing it in 2013 and have been playing it ever since.
Kairosoft has many other great games for Android too.
Never played this but the idea reminds me of Game Dev Story. Might give that a try, they have a free version so you can test it out as well.
Game Dev Story by Kairosoft. It is a banger and even has a demo so you can try it first.
The company that make it have lots of other similar games that are also pretty good

Looks a lot like Game Dev Story. It's a bit old but still a lot of fun.
Do they say anything about pirating a game idea and design? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.kairosoft.android.gamedev3en&hl=en
Any game by Kairosoft if you like management sims. Game Dev Story was the first one I played.
It's

Here is the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.kairosoft.android.gamedev3en :P
Even though Kairosofts games have been pretty rubbish lately I'll give this a shot. I have played all but 2 Kairosoft games and they really lost their touch. My favorite Kairosoft games are the obvious Game Dev Story, Grand Prix Story, Dungeon Village and Pocket League Story
Game dev story is on sale right now actually, for 2 more days

This is one of their most famous, you manage a game development studio

Hi there! It looks like you're asking:
What are the best Kairosoft games on Android?
The most-recommended option is Game Dev Story.
If you want more info, you can:
^(I am a bot! For safety, replies to this comment will be ignored. Direct messages will be checked by a human.)
Avid Kairosoft fan here! There are a few of their games with Micro-transactions, namely High Sea Saga, Bonbon Cakery, Pocket League Story 2 and Beastie Bay. However these games can all be played and enjoyed without micro transactions, the premium currency you can buy is fairly common in game.
My favourite Kairosoft games (in no particular order):
Game Dev Story
Biz Builder Deluxe
Ninja Village
Grand Prix Story
The Pyraplex
> Tycoon Game based around shop management/etc. Like the 'Story' series but without IAPs.
>Tower defense that isn't alien, sci-fi, or military based.
Kingdom Rush series (Kingdom Rush, KR: Frontiers, KR: Origins)
>Arcade style quick pick up and drop em' games, for toilet time/whathaveyou.
Beat Hazard (generates bullet hell style space shooter levels to music tracks on your device. One song = one level, every song generates a different level with different enemy patterns and bosses)
Gamd dev tycoon is a cheap clone of this amazing android game:

Just get game dev story instead. it's a lot better
