The Bard's Tale is great. It's a witty, sarcastic take on RPG, where you play as a bard (wow, really??) and do quests, kill stuff, get loot, level up, seduce wenches (yes, really, but no filthy filthy), and all that good stuff. Very good port of a very good game, and it goes for about $3.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inxile.BardTale the IAP are completely unnecessary. They only slightly speed up progression, but nothing you can't get through the game.
Yes I know that one costs money. You're gonna have a hard time finding a free mobile game that doesn't spam your screen with ads every two seconds and or have IAP. Devs gotta make money too, you know.
I'm playing through The Bard's Tale. It's an old PC game, with awesome, very funny storytelling. It's offline, cost me around $4 or $5, there are no ads - and it's a PC game so no pay to win at all. Graphics look quite good, animations are, well, old - game weights 4gb. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inxile.BardTale
Im playing this one atm and lovin it. Thought i add played all good ones but miss this

Darkness rises is good but its free and the daily grind bored me like all the others arpgs. Its a second job i dont want.
It's old, but a game called The Bard's Tale is fantastic! It used to be an original xBox game and is one of my all-time favorites. It's a hilarious rpg too!
The Bard's Tale. It's a port of a light PS2-era RPG with a great emphasis on humor. Looks good, is remarkably funny, runs on any device of the last couple of years and there's plenty of content (including the classic Bard's Tale trilogy as a bonus, each of them is a massive game). Some IAPs were shoe-horned in later, but since the game was designed to work without them, you can ignore them entirely.

Here are some good paid games if your interested.. Bards tale- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inxile.BardTale Oddworld stranger wrath... Uuh there some more but cost money and depends on if your tablet is powerful as most tablet maker either gave up or released a terrible buggy tablet. Only decent one is Samsung newer models.
A Bards Tale got a good port of a classic 3D RPG. Its a funny, medium length game and worked great a few years back on my One Plus One 1.
Same here until I bought The Bard's Tale for android. I play it every night for an hour or so. Great oldschool hack and slash rpg with funny dialogues and good graphics.
I just picked up The Bards Tale based on multiple recommendations. However, I've discovered that I can't stand joystick controls on touch screens. I also don't particularly care for the alternate control scheme.
My question is, can you recommend a good RPG that doesn't use a joystick? Perhaps, something that is point and click. Thanks!
Very funny game The Bard's Tale

This is one of the best games I ever played https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inxile.BardTale
There's a certain feel to BG:DA that wasn't really matched very often. There's Champions of Norrath like u/CoachOcelot suggested, but that's a PS2 title and I don't know if you have the hardware.
There's also The Bard's Tale, which has similar mechanics for combat and inventory. You can get it on Steam, GOG, and a mobile version on Google Play.
Other than those two? I really don't know of any other games that match that specific look and gameplay loop. But I'm always looking, I'd love to play a new one on modern hardware.

I'm surprised no one else has metioned the Snowblind Engine games (specifically Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance, Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance II, Champions of Norrath, and Champions: Return to Arms); I wholeheartedly recommend them. They're console games, not PC, but they were basically made to be the console equivalents of Diablo 2 (targeting all those people who were butthurt that Diablo 2 was only released for PC/Mac despite the earlier Diablo 1 getting a PS1 version). The interface design in these games was so well-done, in fact, that Blizzard pretty much copied their entire control scheme when making Diablo 3 (at least, the console versions of D3), but the graphical theme in those Snowblind Engine games is definitely darker and more 'serious' than D3 (much more like D2's style, though not quite as foreboding). They're quite a bit older than the other suggestions this thread is getting, but they look good for what they are (yes, they're dated, but not any more so than Diablo 2's own graphics, so... *shrugs*). I actually put more time into these games than Diablo 2 iteself, and still routinely come back to them (especially if a friend wants to play some local multiplayer and isn't sure what game to play)... ;)
As an aside, that engine was also used to make the 2004 reboot of The Bard's Tale, which is an excellent parody of this type of game, with an interesting D&D-esque story and plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor (the main character is a worthless scoundrel who often argues with the narrator, lol). Unfortunately, The Bard's Tale did away with the loot-hunting element that drives people to put hundreds of hours into the real Diablo-likes, so it doesn't have nearly as much staying power as the others. Still, used copies go for cheap, and the game is worth playing through at least once. Also had a slightly updated re-release on Steam, though I doubt that $10 is worth it when you can pick up the PS2 version for like $2 (or get the Android version for $3)... :P
For some 3D RPGs:
Bard's Tale
Ravensword
Exiles
Aralon
Square's games section. If you'd rather, you can also emulate.
If you want some 2D RPGs from someone besides Square:
Doom & Destiny (there's a free version with ads too)
Ninth Dawn and sequel (there's free demos)
And Crashlands is really popular right now.
There is also ports of PC RPGs, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Shadowrun Returns, and Dragonfall.

Quick feedback. It's a good starter project, meaning that congrats for making a game and getting it out there. Everyone has to start from somewhere and this shows you have the basics down as far as flash development goes. Now you need to keep improving that.
As far as game design...couple of things. I'm taking this game as if you were to market it. My advice is to move on to another project. You got practice with this one. Research popular games on the Play Store or other flash game sites and see if you can mimic something like that. As you get better, you can start making more complicated, profitable games.
Keep your audience in mind. Curse words and such don't make a marketable game in the flash game industry. Subtle cursing in an action game or a violent game, sure it can pass. A pong game shouldn't have bad language. Most sites I've worked with would probably gear this type of game to kids. It uses kid cartoon characters and its a simple pong type game. Very few sites (aside from auto-accepting sites like Kongregate and Newgrounds) would take a game like this.
DLC to skip the intro? Come on man...this is a flash game. People aren't trying to play a game like this for 5 hours. There are hundreds of thousands of free flash games out there. If you start adding barriers to the user to play (like long intros or unskippable intros, or long instructions) then you are just asking people to leave. Even if you were to port the game to the android market or something, you can't expect $4 to skip an intro. And $4? Let's be realistic..This Game sells for $2 on the Play Store and it won awards, and has 3d graphics, and a crazy good storyline. I think it was $4.99 when it first came out. If you are just planning on keeping this a flash game, then NO ONE will pay for it. Users don't pay for flash games. Publishers (like Kongregate, NewGrounds, AddictingGames, etc) pay for the game and put in their branding. Or the developer puts in-game ads in there to get money. TL:DR; get rid of the unskippable intro. I would have played a couple more times if I didn't have to sit through a 2-3 minute intro each time.
Graphics - I get it..I've worked with top-notch developers who didn't have great art skills. I can't do art either. But you need to keep in mind that graphics are pretty important. Maybe not as much as gameplay because there are plenty of indie flash games with bad graphics..but try to reduce graphics with lots of leftover "artifacts" (basically spots that you didn't erase). I noticed alot on the Hades character or whatever when you zoom in. You can still see colored specks that are separated from the character that weren't cleaned up properly. Also, keep your resolution smaller because all the backgrounds were blurry. Little things like this could go along way. Once you get better at the game design, then you can start buying art or working with artists to get better graphics.
Gameplay - You need to have something other than just luck to win a round. I didn't even win one and then I didn't feel like sitting through the intro to play another round. 3 hits and the game is over? That's a little harsh. Maybe the user gets more hit points, or maybe you can control the blocking so it's not just up to chance. /u/AntiGaming_ touched on that pretty well so I won't waste time repeating it. Also the game would get really repetitive..especially if the user won 2 or 3 rounds and then always had to restart over again. I don't think any user would actually get to the end.
First off, don't worry about money yet. Just create stuff like this. Keep your projects small and manageable. As you get better you'll get more gameplays..then you can focus on making money.
In any case, best of luck. You got some basic skills which definitely show. You just need to work on a couple of things, and I think that will happen with time. The best thing for you to do is look at some popular games out there and just see what you can do to recreate a part of it. Don't worry about graphics, or money, or whatever. Just take an element you like from a game, recreate it, and then keep building. Every game you make, try to add one more challenging mechanic, aspect or something...that way you'll always be improving!
Going to load up Bard's Tale for another run-through!
Maybe something like The Bard's Tale? Was ported to iOS/Android in 2011. Not sure what its price was years ago, but nowadays it's $2.99.
Or Ravensword: Shadowlands (2013, $6.99)
Or Backstab (2011) a Gameloft game which used to be a premium app but seems to have been removed from app stores

Comedic action role-playing games have a certain public to appease and The Bard’s Tale, a separate title from the series with a similar name, succeeds. Players control the Bard, a cynical, sarcastic opportunist in the world of magic and swords. He is not interested in saving the world, but when it comes to getting a reward, or his own head is on the line – he’ll gladly jump into the action. These games can be 1 time purchases or fremium (if the game is not pay to win). Personally, I like a couple of the following games:
The Bard's Tale: ios/android: This is a fun RPG that features a sarcastic hero only interested in gold and women with a nararattor who mocks you at every turn.
Knights of the Old Republic: ios/android: One of the best Star Wars RPG that has great gameplay and an incredible story.
I'm just gonna assume you've got an android phone, but if you're not then most of this still applies and most of the games I'll mention are also available on ios, even if I don't have the links on hand.
If you're not specifically looking for casual games that you only play 5 minutes at a time I'd suggest looking at ports of pc or console games as well as emulators. You can emulate pretty much every single console system up to and including ps2 (although I think ps2 emulation specifically is still rather buggy on android).
For ports I would strongly recommend:
The Bard's Tale: Roguelike rpg, top down view, 3d graphics. Great humor. Amazingly well done port, support for just about every single gamepad in existence as well as well done touch controls. Can be quite big. Low res textures = 1GB I think, high res = 3.5GB or something around there
Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition: Baldur's Gate. The original. Besides Torment, it's the grandfather of an entire genre of Dnd ruleset-based games on pc.
Baldur's Gate II: More of the above. Amazing game, even if the mechanics are dated by modern standards.
Knights of the Old republic: In case you're not familiar with it it's a Star Wars RPG. Again, fantastic game and Aspyr did a great job porting it. Touch controls work really well and the UI has been updated to work well on a touch screen. Also has very good gamepad support and plays comfortably on a TV or tablet with gamepad when you feel like sitting down for a longer session with it. Bonnus points for having identical data structure with the original game except the main executable, meaning that mods for the pc version almost all work with the android version.
XCOM: Enemy Within: Turn-based tactics/strategy. Plays pretty much identically to the pc version. Good game.
Also, a lot of the Final Fantasy games have been ported to android now with more popping up on a regular basis. Besides the PS2 era and newer ones we're mainly missing 7 and 8, although they can be played in an emulator. The price of these on the play store is a little high, but they're mostly good games. If you're into that sort of thing then they're well worth checking out.
