There is a Ps1 version and a psp version. Ps1 version works better because it has higher fps, emulators are in the playstore

I wont tell people how to get the games due to the rules. But everyone knows.
I'm not big on "emulator + insert game" responses when people ask for mobile game recommendations, but since Xenogears (in my opinion) is one of the best mech/RPG games ever made...
FPse or ePSXe + Xenogears ROM is very doable on mobile and is guaranteed to be a good time (especially if you've never experienced the masterpiece that is Xenogears).
With a couple of clicks on Samsung DeX, you can go to Screen Mirroring.

FPse has a SBS mode that works great with a headset or cardboard. I was playing crash bandicoot for 30+ minutes with no problems. Well my phone got very hot and the battery was draining fast but no problems with the game or the side by side.
Sounds like Crash Bash
To play it on PC you'll need an emulator which can play psx games or you can play it on PS3 instead. You can also get an emulator for android phones and PSP if you would prefer. I use this one on my phone.
I've been running ~~ePSX~~(FPse)[https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.emulator.fpse], it's worked great out of the box with both the shield controller and the wireless xbox 360 controllers that I have. I play multiplayer stuff on it fine.
Looked it up, I installed something different.

Has anyone tried this app and can perhaps report back on what exactly this Gear VR support consists of? Is it watching in a virtual theater like Netflix, or something more immersive like QuakeVR? Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.emulator.fpse
I found it searching the play store.
Edit: I totally messed up. I have FPse. It works great, for things like Crash Team Racing and Bomberman.
If you want to play it now:
Google FF9 Rom
Fpse for andriod devices is also good https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.emulator.fpse
Personal use Fpse. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.emulator.fpse
FPse is another really good one.

It's been emulating PS1/PSX games fine for me since the old Snapdragon S2 days.
FPse for Android, got me the most reliable and smooth performance. I was using it on a Galaxy Note 1 a few years ago.

FPse - PSX emulator. Has great compatibility and ran perfectly smoothly on my Galaxy S2. Download BIOS, download ROM and play.

MX Player - Not really hidden but it's a great video player with support for about any video format. Seems to tackle anything.

TubeMate - download YouTube videos. It's obviously not on the play store. Been using it for years.
Teamviewer - Remote control your computer. This app is awesome. You have to be just a little patient depending on your bandwidth and processing power, but it still works wonders. I used it to send myself a file from my laptop, literally on the other side of the globe, via 3G, on a train. Requires companion app on computer.

Splashtop - Remote control your computer again, but it can work on the same WiFi network without routing through the Internet. So you have much better response and quality. I've used this to spectate dota 2 games and it works well. Also requires companion app.

Fing - network scanner. Handy if you want to know the IP addresses of devices connected to the same network. It's a handy network troubleshooting app.
