simple but pretty interface, minimal but all the right features and best sound quality on S7. if you need a straight forward music player, look no further.
Samsung Music:

PowerAmp (alpha version including. the whole project seems to be abandoned too) is not fully compatible with S8 hardware so you won't get the same sound quality as with native player.
Samsung Music and QuickLyrics if lyrics are not embedded into mp3 file
PowerAmp is not fully compatible with Samsung hardware (even the alpha version). Samsung's Music player (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music&hl=en) sounds and looks great. the functionality might seem somewhat limited but it's nicely integrated with the whole system and built in EQ (edge panel, lock screen controls and album art, etc). also supports gapless playback and global gain control. make sure to turn off all unnecessary audio effects and try the Adapt Sound feature (granular gain control per ear based on your hearing test).
Just switched over myself! I've been using samsung's stock music app, which is actually pretty decent. It didn't come pre-installed on my device, but it's nice and simple with customizable tabs and swipe navigation. You'd have to remake your playlists, but that's pretty easy.
Phonograph was also good but I think support for it may have stopped
People will probably think I'm weird but I like the Samsung Music Player It sorts everything you mention. I love the way it looks and afaik is compatible with more than just samsung phones.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music
what version/security update are you running?
It's on the Play Store for me, but not in the Galaxy Store. Weird.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music
But for alternatives, I'd recommend VLC as another poster mentioned.
you can still try our samsung music player - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music if you can't install for okay Store try this link - https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/music-samsung-electronics-co-ltd/
I satisfied myself with Samsung Music and Black Player EX.
It probably relies on other Samsung system apps, most likely OneUI, which not all do -- individual side-loading of apps won't chase dependencies, even Play Store doesn't except for special things, and some things are not available via Play Store anyway. Sorry, I hope it was worth trying. At this point all you can really do is try some alternatives, see which please you.
It's totally fine i love answering questions 😂💖
To download videos from youtube to mp3/mp4 : So i use an app called" snaptube " u can only download the app on Google https://www.snaptube.com/ i hv been using it for 2 years now and it is safe, then after u download the app, open youtube then open the video u wanna download then click share
then download with snaptube
then u choose the highest mp3 format(mp3 160k). Then ur done downloading it. To loop it i hv an app on my phone called Samsung music https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music . Once u download the app all ur music will appear on it, then u click the song and click an icon to loop , u can only loop a one song or u can make a playlist and loop it
Just to note
Samsung Music is not the default music player or a pre-installed app on Samsung phones
if you're wondering where it is or what they're talking about, its on the play store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music
Stock Samsung player I like it as it reads different music formats and looks the cleanest + it's stock.
I used it for all the music on my SD card for stuff not on Spotify or streaming
If you have an Android here's a link
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music
I'd choose Samsung Music.
It is aesthetically pleasing with a smooth, consistent and simple UI with a fully fleshed out dark mode.
It supports playing music by directory
Supports playlists in formats imported from your PC
Has automatically generated playlists based on most played and others
I'm not sure whether it works on non-Samsung phones.

Tbh Samsung music is the best still. All you do is download the file from the website, and it shows up in the list from your downloads folder.
Just install iTunes onto your computer and download your purchased music. Then, navigate to the folder storing your iTunes library and copy the mp3's from there and onto any other device you want.
I made the switch, and I've missed having the functionality of itunes on my phone, but have found that the Samsung Music app is pretty damned close. Note, this isn't the same music app that comes with all of the new androids. I think they all use Google Play now. It's no longer bundled, but you can find it in the google play store called Samsung Music, and it's very close to the functionality and design of the iTunes app.
I really like the Samsung Music player. It's barebones which I like with easy to use library and playlist features. Free and no ads
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music
that's what Samsung has for their lock screen music player too.
they could definitely do that on Android without root, someone just need to make it, but i still like configuring my lock screen album art through klwp since i can change the shape, location, effects etc & make it work with the wallpaper still being visible
I don't have the pro version yet so what I want to know is under the Change theme color is there an option to pull the colors from the currently playing album? Similar to the way the samsung music player does it, the progress bar is pulled from the album art. Shown here.
It's upload your own music assuming you're talking about this one. It's the music app I use. It's simple, has all the things I want and most of all I love the way it looks.
do not use PowerAmp (it's not fully compatible with Sasmung hardware, even the alpha version). try it with Samsung Music:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music&hl=en
make sure all sound effects are off. i'm sure AKG's signature is V shaped with extra bass and overblown high shelf. adjust those just a tiny bit with built in EQ. play some 320kbps MP3s or FLAC files. report back.
(i'm assuming you're aware about the tips and proper fit)
Use the Samsung Music Player. Has a nice effect around the edges.

Use Samsung Music ,one of the best players I've come across
Piggybacking off your comment, the Samsung music app is also available in the Play Store as well, if that is a preference.

Isn't this it? I don't like it much, I use black player for simplicity
Samsung has a music player. You can download it from the play store. Put the files in music folder on the phone

>u/NicolasPlayzYT - How to get Samsung Music App in Lineage 16?
You can't as it requires Samsung stock OS & some proprietary libraries it includes.
Checking Samsung Music by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. in my PC's browser after logging in Gmail in an other tab I get:
>This app is incompatible with all of your devices.
And it does not even show up in a search on my Galaxy S5 klte LineageOS 16.0 + Open GApps Pico's Play Store.
There are a few apps in the Samsung dev's Play Store page that works on LineageOS like the Samsung Internet Browser for example.
You could try this XDA site search and add/remove keywords to taste: site:forum.xda-developers.com/ " Samsung Music" lineageos.
There is an apple music app you could try but I heard it's buggy and not very good, can't say for sure though because I haven't used it. But there are a bunch of different music player apps for android. The samsung music app does sort by artist, album, genre etc. A lot of people like poweramp which appears to have the sort features like you want. Gonemad is another option many people like. And rocket player too. There are many many more too. Just have to find the one you like the most.
Is it this one -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music ?
It seems that your comment contains 1 or more links that are hard to tap for mobile users. I will extend those so they're easier for our sausage fingers to click!

Literally any Android phone, even the oldest and crappiest ones, should be able to play AAC files without stuttering. Converting to MP3 will make the quality worse.
Try a different music app. If you have a Samsung phone, try Samsung Music, otherwise try Poweramp or VLC.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music
Give it a try and let us know.
No, it's not adware. Samsung really does have ads in their stock apps. Just because you aren't targeted doesn't mean they don't exist. Take a look at the play store listings. For each app that people have found to contain ads, the listing will say "Contains Ads" (in the listing itself, not the reviews, well actually it's there too). Samsung Music has ads and the listing is flag as such. Same thing for Samsung Health. Samsung Notes doesn't have ads (yet) and it not listed as containing ads.
Samsung Music - If you can't download it on your phone, there should be an APK on apkmirror that'll work
Samsung Music - If you can't download it on your phone, there should be an APK on apkmirror that'll work
Phonograph - It's open source, so most other phonograph forks should also have scrolling lyrics
Shuttle Music - This definitely has lyrics, but I can't exactly remember if they're scrolling off the top of my head
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music Seems like it is the samsung music player
samsung music, google play music, are two stocks. I use poweramp hi res player.

Samsung music not milk music, the base music app that ships with phones and is on playstore. This
Here you go friend: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music
I have the international version, bought in the UK. This is the app, its on the PlayStore as well, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music&hl=en_GB
I use Samsung's music player on my S7 and personally I feel it's a better alternative.
:Faster
:Supports FLAC and other codecs
:Play speed, manage tabs, and even a sleep timer.
: Sound quality and effects (UHQ upscaler, tube amp pro, concert hall)
downside:
:It doesn't have a store and you can't listen to music online.
:On the play store it's restricted to Samsung devices.

Are you sure about that? The first picture is how my lock screen looks with Samsung music app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.music
That's not true. The Music App is a fully fledged player. It's also available in Samsung Galaxy Apps, at least on the international S7.
I would search Play Store first before writing here. Samsung Music and Samsung gallery.
Anyway Google play music is actually not a music player. It is more like streaming service as Spotify. Google Photos is also not a gallery app. Its purpose is to backup your photos.
