My take :)
EDIT: This is the icon pack I'm using :)
Isn't this literally just the Min icon pack from Android....?
Edit: sigh. I actually own Min which is why I noticed quite quickly. But yeah, here are some of the icons OP is trying to pass off as his, straight from Min's icon pack.
It depends on what is your definition of minimisation.
Android lets you customise everything. You can delete all app icons from your screen, or you can install different "minimalist" icon sets like this. You are absolutely free to do what you want with it. So if you want to achieve some level of minimalist aesthetic, you can.
Also, you can use different versions of android which are build by the community, some of them are extremely lightweight and such.
Apple, on the other hand, does not allow you to customise the look of your phone. The icons are given, the grid is given (which means you can't change how many icons are in the row. On Android you can). iOS has its own visual language and you are not able to change or customise it. Apple does leave you less control. And this is the deal breaker.
When I had Android, I could get it to look minimal, but I kept thinking about different ROMs, different icon sets. I played with it every single day. My brain was busy with my phone. It used to fun, at first, but then I just got tired of that. So, for me Apple does better job. But that's just me, tho.

In all transparency, this theme is incredibly simple and mostly about the incredible Saint Laurent aesthetic as opposed to function.
wallpaper - saint laurent lookbook
icons - the classic Min
clock and date - custom uccw widgets set in roboto
design choices - highlight an overwhelmingly dark aesthetic with pops of white, make all icons accessible from bottom right thumb, strip away everything else
Made in KLWP as usual.
Wallpaper
Fonts
Icons
Not much to say about this one. Wanted to make a dark theme without any elements touching the phone borders. Probably could have put a bit more functionality into it, but I wasn't too happy with the wallpaper so I didn't want to spend more time on it.
TAKING IT FURTHER
"Further?" I hear you say. Yes, further.
Install Glyphs by Tokem (its an icon pack) from inside the folder of things you downloaded. If that isn't your style or there aren't enough icons for you, I recommend using Min.
Set your Drawer Color to #9eec22
Remove any background color.
Set your Drawer Style to "Vertical"
Bam! Now your Drawer fits your homescreen!

Min for a good minimalist icon pack. The icons are white so it's good against a dark background. I keep trying to find a better icon pack and keep going back to this one.
I've been a huge fan of Min since switching to android. I really just can't find anything to replace it.
Min is the only one I think would work. It's a cool, unique wall but the colors won't match any colorful icon packs. Compacticons or one of the glyph icon packs (Glyphsy, etc.) might work...
Wallpaper: Link
Icon Pack: Min Icon Pack
Widget: Modified one of Europa for Zooper's widgets.
Hope I didn't miss anything :)
Yeah! Missed that In my used resources comment. It's one of the wallpapers included in the Min Icon pack. I'll add the icon pack to my comment.

I'm using Nova Launcher with minimalistic design and an (almost) AMOLED black wallpaper/Material Black theme from theme store: http://imgur.com/cj2xYRM
The icon pack is Min.
The music widget is one of the styles available in the widget that comes with the Poweramp music player.
Both are excellent and highly recommended.
So I just started playing Destiny and love the art style for the map. I made the widget in Zooper and the two orbiting dots make a clock (inner ring is hours).
The wallpaper is a PS4 screenshot from just after the Title screen and the icon pack is Min
All in Nova.
Would love feedback and suggestions for a second screen!
Edit: Fixing links.
it is min :)
I think the icon pack in the picture is Min (this is the one I use and me Gmail icon looks just like that), but I'm not sure on the launcher being used. Could be Nova with some quick toggles widget on the top and the Lollipop 'home' circle on the bottom replaced (or removed), I'm not sure.
Looks good. You should try Min icon pack. It looks great with dark backgrounds.

Hope I'm following correct etiquette here. All custom made in KLWP except the wallpaper which came from the Walli app and the dock icons are the Min icon pack ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryanmkelly.me.min)
I'm curious if anyone knows of an icon pack that would work better in the Dock?
Thanks! I'm sure there's a way to hide the bar but I don't personally know how; I don't think I'd do it anyway since only the clock info is redundant, the rest is still important.
The icon pack you can find it here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryanmkelly.me.min

Wallpaper is Light Leakage by KNXT in the Backdrops app. Icons are min in the Play Store. Everything else is designed by me. This is my first time theming with KLWP, so any pointers would be greatly helpful!
I don't know what you mean by dots folders. These are just apps whose icons I have changed to dot images -- I think from the <u>Min</u> icon pack.
You could do the same with folders, if that's what you're looking for.
Min for me. I think I have some Tiny White icons thrown in too. I tend to prefer darker/simpler backgrounds and these icons go well with just about anything without being too overpowering.
It's the Min - Icon Pack. I saw it in the homescreen of another Redditor myself who then recommended it. It's really awesome!
I am having a hard time remembering where I got that wallpaper, but this is very similar. http://imgur.com/IFcqIOS
Min icon pack: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryanmkelly.me.min&hl=en
Thank you! Just using Nova launcher, Min Icon Pack and it's this clock pack for KWGT.
If you like the smaller icons, check out min and minoir.
Min: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryanmkelly.me.min
Minoir: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sixtyfourthirtytwo.minoir
Nova Launcher
Icons: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryanmkelly.me.min
Then create a folder with desired apps, long press and hold. Edit icons, click on min icon pack and search for which icon you need.
Enjoy and screenshot how it looks when your done :).
In my opinion, the widget in the center should be the focal point but your icons seem to stand out a little too much. I'd recommend trying out min icon pack or simply making your icons smaller.
I like it. Though I would personaly have opted for white icons like Min and probably a less dark wallpaper. But that's just how I would see it :P
I also dig the nougat style google bar widget.

Taken from some dudes upload of beautiful wallpapers for the nexus 6P. Can't be bothered finding links though. Sorry.
I used Nova Launcher and the Min icon set.
I tried to emulate the position of the lock screen clock so when unlocked (via fingerprint) the icons and nav bar appear but nothing else changes.
Looking closer I see what you mean about the phone, can't tell if my eye's just playing tricks on me though. None the less I love this icon pack, I've stuck with it for 2+ years now.
I dont know any coloured ones, if thats the look you're going for. Right now I'm using a pack called min which I like quite a bit. I think it'd look nice on that wallpaper.
Born out of necessity. I have small hands and a largeish phone, so I like keeping things near the bottom of the screen.
Everything made in Kustom. Icons are a mix of Min and generic Google Material icons. Wallpaper.
Recently been using Min icon pack, I think my homescreen looks pretty slick!
All you have to do is look up icon packs such as this icon pack I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryanmkelly.me.min, then go into the nova setting and go into look and feels tab and go into the icons pack selection I think and min should show up
There is something similar in the Min Icon Pack. It's white though, you'd probably have to make one with Photoshop if you want the custom colors.
It's the Min Icon Pack. You will need a launcher to use it. I use Nova Launcher and it's great.
Alternatively, you can try Min, which is just plain white and would fit inside the squares. Here The reason why I am recommending these to you is because the stock icons look very different compared to the squares.
Min icon pack on screen for folders and stuff and Minimalism by DD-Ripper for the app drawer.
Love the organization. Check out Nova Launcher for even more minimalism. You can swipe up on an icon to open a separate app (and edit which app you put there). Also, icon packs.. I use Min Icon Pack and its beautiful.
Icons: Min Icon pack
Yeah, I have two app draw buttons. The phone is a Galaxy Note 4, and with my current homescreen layout, I can't have an app draw button right in the middle of the homescreen icons. Advice?
It's also nice having a big area in the middle to hit to access my app drawer!
Some good white icons are Min and Flight Lite. I cant think of any black and white ones at the moment though.

> How do I change the icons and app shortcuts?
In the KLWP file go to group called 'Icon Group'. In here is another 4 groups each with a shape called 'icon' in it. Tap on any one, then 'FX'-> 'pick image' and on the new screen open the side menu, choose your icon pack and navigate to the icon you want to select. To change the touch shortcut just tap on the actual icon in the preview window, a small popup should appear down low with an 'edit' button. Tap on it to change which app should be launched.

Hello Android people. Been a long time since I posted, but I have been making themes. I'll try and get them up here over the next few weeks. I hope you like this one
Concept:
Inspired by this poster for Cincinnati Design Week. I though the colours and design would adapt well to a theme. So not very original, but I liked it, and I think I added enough elements and ideas of my own to not call it a complete rip off.
Theme changes a little when music is playing (adds album art, eq animation and track progress). Down the bottom are battery percentage and seconds. The rest is pretty self explanatory.

Tapping the bottom bar will take you in and out of the music page
Tapping the little headphone icon will launch your music player
Tapping either the left, middle, or right of the foreground image (the wallpaper or the album art) will toggle the previous, play/pause, and next music controls respectively.
Customization
If you want to change the foreground image, go into the GLOBALS tab and change the image titled “BG”. Unfortunately, images that aren’t 1920x1080 will mess up the scaling and placement of the image.
Tapping the headphone icon currently launches Spotify. If you want to change this, look for the item titled “MUSIC TOGGLE”. Under the “TOUCH” menu is where you can change what this toggle launches.
Been working on this one for a while and it’s been dope. Hope you all enjoy!
Edit: The 'In Action' link isn't working on mobile unfortunately. Should be fine on desktop though. :(
Should check out the "min" icon pack to keep it with that clean white look.

I originally saw this post and downloaded it. It ended up being a buggy mess that I didn't want to deal with. I ended up keeping a few things from it, but it truly did get gutted and I decided to just make it into something I liked.
Now one of my problems with a lot of themes is how the wallpapers can't change without having to redo the color themeing (sp?). So I decided to fix that. The current wallpapers are ones that I rather like, and the four colors in the bottom right are colors extracted straight from the bitmaps used for backgrounds.
All in all, I like how it turned out and I would consider this my first legit theme that I've made. It feels really smooth and works really well for me having everything there. Some people may not like how much crap is going on in the Main Menu, but you can change it if you'd like :)
Also, I'm super proud of the agenda I made since I have been wrestling with making one for about a month now.
Any and all questions are welcome:)
Min icons and I created a red circle in zooper and layered it behind the icon.
Nova Laucher: 12 x 6 grid, no margins, hidden notification bar, custom gestures for opening app drawer
Icon pack: Min
Calendar: Month
Music Player: Shuttle + (In the KLWP file, I put in kustom music controls for those who don't have Shuttle. Alternatively, just stick in the controls for your choice of music player in the spot underneath the track title/artist.)
The background changes based on the time of day. Morning from 6 am - 11 am, afternoon from 11 am - 5 pm, evening from 5 pm - 8 pm, and night from 8 pm - 6 am. I used if statements to change the background and because of this, the backgrounds are not embedded into the KLWP file. You must make a Wallpapers folder so that the path sdcard/Wallpapers/ exists. Put the 4 wallpapers into this folder.
Other notes:
The number above the clock is the battery percentage. Tap it to go into battery settings.
Tapping the clock will go into the clock application
Tap the space between the clock and the icons to pull up the nova search function
If there are any issues, feel free to comment and ask.
Damn that's cool, now only if you had a matching icon set, something like Min icons..

If you haven't yet, the min icon pack would also make a great alternative.
I tend to cycle between this wallpaper and this wallpaper every week or so, so I'm posting them both.
Using Nova Launcher & Min Icon Pack
Left icon is my Google folder, swipe up opens gmail, then unified remote pro, then pocket casts, then my most used apps folder, swipe up to use my bus app. Clean and simples.
I switched to android in 2014 with the OnePlus One. I've been with Min on every phone ever since.
I can't find it either when looking up both "min" and "mins" but here is a link
I am using the default theme with the Min icon pack.
Here's the post I got the image from.
I edited the wallpaper to be the right aspect ratio (18:9) for my OP5T and to remove some visual clutter. There are a few versions (AMOLED, with and without satellites) here.
Clock widget is called Digital Clock Xperia.
Launcher is, of course, Nova.
I really love the clean look. If you're wanting an icon pack to match, you may like Min icons.
I use one called Min, it's not the same but it might give you something close.

Min Icon Pack
This started out as a music theme and I had no real idea what to do with the bottom half. I wanted a weather widget and decided it'd be cool if I had a different Final Fantasy XIV screenshot for each weather condition. After a couple of evenings wandering around Eorzea, speaking to Skywatchers and taking screenshots, I now have my weather komponent!
I found the komponent itself on the XDA forums (I think it was this one) and just changed all the images. I also added a basic icon over the top, which I can tap for a manual update. All the other shapes and stuff I created in KLWP.
EDIT: The dock is a standard 3-page Nova Launcher one, not part of the KLWP.
First attempt at doing one of these little theme mockups! Tried to make this theme as clean and yet functional as possible for my needs.

Loving the setup btw
So, I've been a longtime lurker on this subreddit and thought I'd give the whole "barebones" style a try. I like how it turned out but feel like maybe it's missing something? I used Nova Launcher Prime with Min icons (link below) and UCCW widget. All the icons are swipeable folders.
Would love suggestions for improvement! This is just my home screen, still working on the outer 2 screens.
I finally caved and bought Nova Prime, so I'm working on a new theme and I'm pretty happy with it so far, but I welcome any feedback or advice. The Tick Tick widget is the only thing I'm not a huge fan of, but unfortunately when the widget is set to 0% opacity the text is unreadable. I might switch wallpapers, unless anyone knows a way to set a different wallpaper for each page.
The pictures are unfortunately out of order (if it makes a difference) but the first screen is my left screen, second is right, then center. I'm using a mix of gestures to access different features /apps.
Swipe up - App Drawer
Swipe Down - Pulls down notification drawer
Double tap - Google search
Pinch out - Chromecast
Pinch in - Quick Remote
Rotate CW - Timely
Rotate CCW - Weather Underground
Two finger swipe up - Nova settings
Two finger swipe down - System settings
I'm also using gestures on some apps, tapping the camera opens the LG camera, swiping up opens Google camera for example. Other icons are folders where a swipe opens the app represented by the icon.
Launcher - Nova
Icons - Min
Widgets - Month, Power Toggles and one of the widgets that comes with Tick Tick
sorry, it's Min, thought I'd put it in the description:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryanmkelly.me.min
Looks awesome! I think Min icon pack would work too.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryanmkelly.me.min
So you'll need
Install all the apps and icon packs then set Nova as your launcher. I've put my Nova settings into the folder as I vaguely remember needing to do some fiddling around with them to get the app drawer button to work. I can't get the import button in Nova to work, so download "Nova Settings.novabackup" and then use Restore Backup to Nova Launcher. I think that might work better.
Also, the theme requires you to turn off on-screen buttons and use gestures.
Import the "Hadestown_Quotes.klwp" file into KLWP. Put the "Hadestown.txt" file into file://sdcard/Download/Hadestown.txt. Alternatively, put it where ever and just alter the quotes script to reflect the file's location. Screenshot guide You can add or remove quotes, you just need to make sure that each quote has a line between it and the next quote.
If you want, you can edit the apps down the bottom. In KLWP, down the bottom, there is a list of all the layers of the theme. Go into the Icons group, then click the Stack Group subfolder. You can then edit the individual apps. To change the icon itself, click Pick Image and then the three lines in the top left (next to recent) then click Min. You can then browse their icons. (Or pick your own icon pack!) To alter what opens when you click the icon, go to the Touch Tab of the icon. Click Launch App and then the name of the app you're switching. Then pick the app you want the icon to launch. Here is a screenshot guide
Also, if you would rather the date be MMDD rather than DDMM you just need to change the MM in the month text to dd and vice versa. Here is a guide.
/r/Kustom and /r/AndroidThemes are good resources if you get stuck. Otherwise, shoot me a message and I'll try to help. Although it's been a while since I made this/have used KLWP so I'm pretty rusty.
Good luck!
Resources
And here's the script that I used for the quotes, which required a lot of help from Reddit. That said, it was a while ago so I have zero memory of what it means. (Every time I make a new theme I basically have to reteach myself KLWP)
$tc(split, wg("file://sdcard/Download/Hadestown.txt", raw), tc(utf, 0a), tu(seq, 1, 0, tc(len, tc(reg, wg("file://sdcard/Download/Hadestown.txt", raw), "[^\n]", "")) - 1)) $

Hope this helps.

My Other Themes:
If you want to see my other themes, I now have an Instagram account for my themes I have pretty much posted all my old themes there now, but I usually post new ones there before I get around to posting them here.
FAQ:
> How do I make it do the thing?
To toggle music mode tap the red half circle that is directly above the icons.
> How do I import the KLWP file?
> Why can't I export the file with the changes I made?
This file is locked. Like others here, I have stated doing this to prevent scummy youtubers from passing off my work as their own (and cross posting it to Instagram, twatter and every other social media hole).
Read this post for more background on scummy youtubers.
> How do I change the app shortcuts?
In the KLWP file go to the group called 'Icons Group', in there is a few shapes. Tap on any one, then 'FX'-> 'pick image' then on the new screen open the side menu, choose your icon pack and navigate to the icon you want to select
To change the touch shortcut just tap on the actual icon in the preview window, a small popup should appear down low with an 'edit' button. Tap on it to change which app should be launched.
> This theme is a bit wonky on my phone.
This theme was made on and for an 18:9 ratio phone. It isn't going to work in other ratios. Maybe, (if you know what you are doing) you can rearrange things to make it work. Sorry.
Nope, Min - Icon Pack. But I searched for it on Google Play and it didn't show which was weird, but here's the link to it.
This is a theme that I started working on when I first got KLWP. I used the theme Dusk from u/MHcharLEE and played around with it until I got the hang of it.
Then I created this and the last couple of days I tweaked it even more. You can change the app shortcuts to be whatever you wish.

It's hard to give accurate ideas without actually seeing the background itself, but for photos where you want something simple, minimal packs like Glyphs (here and here, not that many apps are unsupported), Min, Lines, Whicons are nice.
If you want something with colour, well, there's plenty of those packs too. But frankly OP, just download them, try them out, and if they aren't too your taste, delete them. I think theres a refund window on many apps, something like 30 minutes, so use that for the paid ones. Just search Minimal Icon Pack or something on the play store and try it out.
I believe the icon packed is called 'Min.'

mine is somewhat conventional.

I call it Nothingness. I love these galactic images because they look insane on this QHD display and all the little particles are amazingly sharp. Thus why I chose this background and credits go to starkiteckt.deviantart.com. As you can see, it follows a minimalistic theme because the universe is so big and we are so tiny in comparison to it. I hope you can see the connection there. :D Anyway, the icon pack is called Min and the widget you can see is actually made of 2 parts but it's the same app. It's called Chronus and the widgets are Chronus Weather and Chronus Dash. The Chronus Dash widget has extensions that you can choose on your own and you can install more extensions depending on your needs, however, you will need the Pro version of Chronus to add more than 2 extensions.
