I am looking for diary/journal app which can work both on PC and my phone. Bonus features are security codes (obviously) and historical statistics/trends. Trends can be for anything, like location of entry, time, mood etc.
I am currently using Journey but they don't seem to have an offering for statistics. I haven't tried their premium features which offer a 'look back' option but they don't explicitly mention the sort of look up I want.
Heya man! You're right not to give up! Relapse is apart of recovery, that doesn't mean it's an excuse to relapse instead, it just means that instead of letting one relapse turn into multiple days, weeks and months of active use you just get back on the horse and go at it again.
Another helpful thing is to keep a joyful journal. Everyday, write down one thing that makes you grateful or happy each and everyday. I use this app so that I can (optionally) take a picture of that thing that makes me smile. Then, when I'm feeling down or wanting to overuse my script or engage in negative behavior, I scroll though it and it makes me so much happier that I relax a little and am able to beat whatever what getting me down.
I tried many apps earlier but this is the only habit tracker I've consistently used for 2 years already.
Another app whose daily entry I always fill out before sleep is Journey where I add 1-10 photos from the day and at least 1-2 sentences about what I did or what I got done. Can highly recommend, it's a little bit of work every evening (like a minute really) but it's really fun to be able to look back at any date from the last 2+ years and see some photos and what I wrote that day.
Yes I have a little Moleskine ripoff that I use to jot down my thoughts. I don't write in it daily, just about 3-4 times a week whenever I have ideas or opinions or thoughts to write.
The best way to keep people from reading it is to not let anyone know. I keep mine in my bag all the time. My roommates don't know about it. I tend to write late in the night so everybody's sleeping when I do write it.
Also, buying a book is the best option. Having your journal on your mobile is a good option because you never know when inspiration may strike. You could install Journey, which connects with Google Drive so you always have a backup of your entries even without the app. But the feeling of writing on paper and then reading those words on the crisp paper later is a feeling in itself. :)
I've been using Journal.
It works well, looks nice (material), can be password protected, syncs to Drive, and also has a companion Chrome app so you can use your desktop too.
Journey app. It's a journal.
I use it as a diary and I keep a daily log of everything I do. Been doing it for almost two years now and I wish I started sooner. I like being able to go back and see what I was doing, how I was feeling and what I was thinking at a certain point in time. Memory is so unreliable so it's good to have it all written down for my future self.
I use an app called Journey it pretty much does it all. I got it backed up to drive so I won't lose anything and it's password protected so it's entirely personal and also I can look back at ease.
I have been using Journey for 6 months now. Its got mostly every feature u can think of u need in a journal. Its perfect for me. Similar one to journey would be Day one journal.
Journal is a pretty good app and the devs of it have much experience with text input apps from their writing app Jotterpad. They do Android apps since years. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
They've also a G+ Beta community called "Journal for Android preview" https://plus.google.com/communities/105738347994256120459
There is also a Chrome App I think but I haven't tried that yet
Flava isn't bad either but they haven't released an update since more than 6 months which would make me sceptical. Especially in a Diary app I would prefer devs that care about their app for a long time. The Journey guys are active since Honeycomb (at least)
Not really on iOS that I known of.
There's Journey on Android that's really really good though https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app It uses Google Drive for your data.
You can import your Day One entries too http://help.2appstudio.com/journey-import-day-one/
You can try Journey and see if it's good for you. I've not used it much, so I'm not sure if it has everything you want, but it's worth a shot. There is an option in the settings to require a password. It requires you to log in to your Google because it's saved to your Drive. It's free, but there is a premium version that unlocks a few minor features.

I use Journey. It's a beautiful app. Syncs with Google Drive. There is a Chrome extension so you can use the desktop. It will use your own tags that you add, but also records your location if you so wish.
Give it a shot. I've been using it since November and haven't looked back. I personally enjoy it more than when I tried others, such as Diaro.
I keep my major events journaled digitally. I use this app called Journey App. Been putting entries on it since 2016. I have to say it's been quite interesting seeing myself change within those years. The writing style, how I think, and how I handled situations. This Journal app is quite good as it's available on all platforms including Linux. It has a cloud sync feature with Google Drive.
I highly recommend this.
> Also, what's the Journey app you mentioned?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app&hl=en_US&gl=US
I like it and still use it, though not consistently. It's also got a Windows interface to the same db iirc, and most likely an Apple one too.
Clean and simple UI, with a basic calendar view. Also multiplatform, including a web app, so it's accessible everywhere (in app purchase might be required?). I don't think it has text captioning for your photos though.
I've been using Journey for a few years, the cloud sync has been awesome for when I've changed phones and it's super simple to use. 1 thing is that you wouldn't be able to to use the S Pen natively within the app, but you could always use the write to text function on the Samsung keyboard to essentially use your handwriting to fill out the entry
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
I use this one. It syncs with Google Drive to store backups. You can also use the web version for the diary. I have been using this one for years.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
I use this Diary app called Journey.
Not sure about your specific analytics requirements, but the app tells you how many entries you have written and over the span of how many days.
Same. It can be distressing. Since I discovered aphantasia I've started keeping a photo journal with an app called Journey Journey (Play store link).
I mostly use it for otherwise boring stuff, like a nice tree I walked past, or a POV shot from where I waited for a train on the platform. This gives me a visual memory of the day to day life which otherwise disappears almost instantly. You could definitely do something similar, but more focused on interactions with loved ones.
If you're finding it difficult to remember emotions and empathy I would read up on alexithymia, it might resonate with you.
Cosa mi consigliate per tenere un diario in formato digitale? Tipo app per android, meglio se ha un client web per accedere anche da pc
EDIT: ho cominciato a usare questa, funziona sia da app che da web
I just had one of those "why didn't I think of that" moments. I'm going to post the postcards to myself from now on. I would love to have the stamps. The postal seal (stamp) is also a cool thing to see.
Is this the app you are referring to: Journey: Diary, Journal
I can very well see myself giving up too. But, then again. I always have a lot of free time on the flight. I don't begin reading something until after takeoff as I enjoy the process of moving on the runway prior to takeoff and the whole take off experience.
I use this app called Journey. It's a fantastic journaling app. I've been using this for almost two years now. I use this to write down my thoughts about what transpired on a particular day. That helps me clear my mind and also sort out my feelings. In a way, that calms me and keeps me level-headed.
I also use this to write down my reflections on life, my actions, sometimes societal issues, too - basically everything else. I also talk about my goals here a lot and my plans to achieve them. I think that helps me be clear on what I want to do and what I should be doing.
This app also has a History feature that reminds me of what I wrote exactly a year ago. It makes me realize how far I've come in achieving my goals and how fast/slow I'm progressing (or if I'm progressing at all).
Idk if you want them to be private or public, but I privately document using the app Journey. I like that I can upload my pics and add tags for certain activities to track how often I do them. I TRY to actually do some journaling but that usually doesn't happen.
When I'm at home I use this
It's nice, clean and easily organized. Best app I've found so far that actually lets me write shit how I want.
When I'm travelling or don't have access to this app, I stick to the old pen & pad.
I've been using Journey.
It's very nice to look at, has a chrome app so you can type on a computer too if you want, mark up tags so if you want to upload your entries to a site like WordPress or tumblr you can, Google drive backup, and has Nexus imprint support.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
EDIT: Missed the part about mood tracking, Journey doesn't do that part so I guess the other recommendations would be better for that.
I think I am going to use Keep to replace a handful of different apps I had been using before.
So, for notes that used to go into Evernote, I color them green. For diary/journal like notes, I use blue, which is the thematic color of a diary app called Journey. For very short "don't forget!" type notes, I use light red, which resembles the color of Jot. Craigslist isn't an app, but sometimes I have Craigslist-related things I want to do (right now I happen to be looking for short-term/medium term apartment options), and those notes are grey, which for me is the characteristic color of Craigslist.
And for stuff that used to be my only use case for Google Keep, loose collection of notes and information for some single thing, such as a phone conversation or a trip to a town I've never been to before, I color them yellow.
I try to be a minimalist or else I will lose entire days pointlessly rearranging digital information, so a combination of colors and simply using the search function is how I organize things for the time being.
I use an app on Android called "Journey." They also have a chrome app for it, so you could use that if you wanted.
After a quick lookup in the MSFT Store, I didn't see anything that looked very nice to use.
I was playing with an Android app called Journal yesterday - it looks to do what you want but I've not used it for an extended period.
My Chrome Extensions List:

2 more extensions that helped me a lot in reducing my phone usage

I don't use reddit on my phone because then i'm stuck in the feed of r/memes r/funny ...
I've removed all social network feeds because they are a waste of time.
In this age of constant bombardment of information, stop consuming, be more Productivity!!!
Godspeed.
This. And there are plenty of good apps to help with this as well. For Android, Journey is a great one.
Journey is pretty good! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app&hl=en
I really like Journey. It's cross-platform and is back by google drive. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
Depends what features you're looking for. I currently like Journal by Two App Studio: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
Journey has a subscription option, but I did a one time purchase for premium on phone and computer. Uses Google Drive for sync.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
Been using Journey. I just started it and its pretty clean and simple. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
I've been using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
There's no subscription, It's a one time fee for the app. Has security features too
A traditional diary app with sync would be something like Journey. It is cross-platform but as far as I can recall it has some paid features and a subscription-model and might not be the right option if you want something free.
You could also use Daylio, it is actually a mood tracker but you can add notes to every mood entry and categorize everything so you should be able to find your stuff easily later again. The app has some paid features, but is very usable without paying anything or a small one-time payment.
Another solution – though a bit nerdy – is to utilize a Git repository (i.e. on GitLab or self-hosted) and use that repo as a diary with an app called GitJournal. That way the raw data of your diary entries are always readable to you, even if the app is discontinued or if something goes wrong.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
I assume that. Just installed it. Thanks.
There's Journey, but it's not free.
Did you ever try Journey? I haven't used it for a while but AFAIK this is the most popular journaling so for Android. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
Journal, the app is available for Android. I guess it works on tablets too. I haven't tested it out though. :)
I vote Journey: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app&hl=es
Diario: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pixelcrater.Diaro
And Journal by Narrate: https://bnc.lt/l/5TkQS0-0mX
I think the best one for that is Journey https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
Maybe this...? I've been using for a few years and like it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app

I currently use this one.

Journey is very powerful. Love it.

Se ti può andar bene un'app: Journey
A VERY round way of doing is getting this app:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app and after making entries there and setting their locations you can check the Map tab.
I find Journey to work the best. It uses a PIN or fingerprint for security. One time payment (no subscription): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.journey.app
Journey, SafeInCloud, and Nine all have dark modes.
Linkme: Journey Diary
It's a journal but really cool. You can log text, places, pictures, etc.
