By the way, removing the music widget also gave a little performance boost. The only thing left from LG's widgets is the E-Mail widget. I just can't find a good looking one with a sync button.
Weather and Clock Widget for Android
Such a generic name but gd do I love the multiple beautiful widget options. I've used it for years. It's one of the first apps I install on any new device. The free version contains some non-intrusive ads. I'm fine with that, personally.

I was unable to find anything that works, sadly. I removed my clock widget to make space and am using the Weather & Clock Widget as both, but I'm not really satisfied.
I use this widget and it does exactly what you say about opening up the calendar when you click the date instead of the clock. Super customisable as well! Been using it for about 5 years now on various phones

As far as aesthetics, I loved the widget options for this one. However, their sources seemed inaccurate (2 options) for my location.
I'm about to try it again in hopes that they have updated them.

I greatly prefer this widget, and it does allow for location name and the temperature.

You can of course edit it's size, position, and colour, as well as change its background.

Apparently it's called cLock Play Store. I don't know if this is it because mine was a default widget on my phone but it looks very similar in some of the pics.

- Rain (wet road) = slow down
- Strong backwind = weeeeeee
- Strong frontwind = lower gear (slower speed, but not intentionally)
- Strong sidewind = hold on and pray to Thor he doesnt blow you into the carlane

- Old(frozen) snow = slow down

- Shows a week prediction through a widget and "feels like" + wind direction on another widget picture
- Shows the hourly progress by tapping the big cloud on the big widget picture
What i love about this:
- I know how cold it is atm & can adjust clothing pre-departure
- I know how likely it is that i will get wet before i get home
What could be improved/would be awesome:
Let me see the hourly weather for 2 destinations (chosen through settings?) simultaneously (home & work)
Give me a notification at xx.xx hours (10 mins before i get dressed morning & evening) containing the following information:
--- it rained in the last 4 hours (wet road)
--- its raining/snowing/foggy/.. right now/in xx.xx minutes at either of my locations
--- It snowed and/or froze last night

First glance needs to be simple, the couple things i need to know (see above) in as little as time/effort as possible More complex information can be usefull, but only if i have the time for it
