Millions of players. Made with DI. I don't think statements like "I do not think DI has a place in games" belong in gamedev, nor in software development. We sometimes get lost in buzzwords, trends, and opinions and we forget that every game is different, with different requirements and so, there is no true architecture that works for every project.
In other words, you should not be thinking "should I use DI in my games?" but "is DI the best architecture for this particular game?"
