The Official F1 App, back in March. Cost AUS$41.99 for 1 year, but it's worth it.
Other apps since then, but all free, and a 3 month free trial of Google Play Music, which I will continue to pay for once the trial is over, because it's fantastic!
About the last one. It would certainly be neat to have direct access to raw sports camera footage and be able to select camera angles, however that doesn't really need augmented reality and could be done with a phone just as well. Which makes me wonder, are there any services that offer that kind of raw sports footage already? I never seen any of that, it's all just pre-cut before it gets broadcast, but I don't watch sport, so I might be missing the obvious.
The closest I can think of would be the F1 app, but that's just track data, not actual video.
Same on Android.
First impression: The app runs a lot smoother than the old one. Though unfortunately the bigger font size leads to less visible information at any one time on the screen. (LG G2)
Best you're probably going to get is the official Formula 1 app for Android/IOS. During the race you get live telemetry data there. Looks something like this.
I've used it before and it's usually ahead of the live stream so it's pretty easy to sync with the world feed. Now to somehow make an overlay with it you'd probably have to install an Android emulator on your PC with the F1 app and maybe use OBS to make a pretty overlay.
For me just having it opened on my phone/tablet next to my monitor was good enough but you do you. Hope this helps :)
FOM's official F1 app, allows you to subscribe for a year or single race weekend. If you already sub to F1 TV then live timing is already included in that subscription - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.softpauer.f1timingapp2014.basic&hl=en_US

Audio stream works if you login with this app with your Pro account.
I used Live Timing from Formula 1 for a while:
https://www.formula1.com/en/f1-live.html
You can get a lot more data feeds from the apps, at cost:

Dunno about iOS. The Formula 1 TV broadcasts I know (Sky in UK, Viasat in Sweden) don't break for ads during the race, that's nice. :-) Next year F1 moves to NBC in the US, right?
If you go to Google Play you can cancel from the page that you would usually install from.
i.e. from a PC: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.softpauer.f1timingapp2014.basic
Or just the Google Play app.
Small advice if you don't want to miss any race of the season anymore:
Download the "Official F1 App" to your mobile phone. (IOS, Android)
You can import all free practices, qualifyings and races with this app into your calendar. The start/end date and timings will be converted to your local time.
~~Another option would be to use a website like this.~~
~~It's a german website (don't know if there are similiar websites in english or other languages) where you can download ical-files for a lot of events. You can import those files to your mobile phone calendar, outlook etc. and will not miss any race anymore.~~
Edit: found this website for english speaking people.
Edit2: As u/sa87 suggested, motocal.net seems to be a really good website for motosport event calendars.
> what F1 app it's not even available on Android according to the F1 web site
Well, it is here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.softpauer.f1timingapp2014.basic
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.softpauer.f1timingapp2014.basic
apparently there is a 2015 version coming
I intercept the data from the live timing app, there you can select every driver and see live telemetry.
For your information: The official F1 Android App has two settings with regards to the timezone. When you press on the current time(Location where to press) all times below get changed to your local timezone (example for my timezone)
No idea if this also works for iOS
I use https://f1.tfeed.net/live for a timing site and the official f1 app on my phone
It is quite expensive for me in South Africa but it's very good.
this appears to have been updated today, would probably work https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.softpauer.f1timingapp2014.basic
