If the farming game play is enjoyable to you, then you don't need to pay and invest money. Just download Hay Day in your phone as the gameplay is practically the same for FREE.

There's no attacking, but SuperCell (the devs of CoC) actually make a farming game called Hay Day for free.

Hayday is Nice, It's mainly a Farming type game but has Production buildings (You make Orders from a Board on the farm).
It does have IAP for Diamonds (Used to speed up buildings/some supplies).
You plant Crops, Set some things to produce (Foods, Items etc) then Come back a while later.

I like Farming type games and I always put Hayday on my device, It's the best farming game I've found.
It's by the same developers as Clash of Clans.

When I played (which I stopped now) I found that I was logging in more then once a day thought; but you can certainly log in once a day if you like.

Hayday might be nice, You can be friend with users(so you're able to help a little with your partner); Join groups and The latest update you can do "Derbys" against other Groups.
You make orders from a Notice board and Farm etc.
