I'm currently rocking Relay for Reddit.. Hand's down the best Reddit app I've used. Paging u/dbrady!
Play store link: Relay for reddit
Edit: best feature imho... ಠಠ(☞ﾟヮﾟ)☞(••)
(⌐■■)¯\_(ツ)_/¯ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
Can someone explain why almost everybody posts videos without sound?
There is missing like 80% of the data.
Edit: turns out that Relay for Reddit is a really good app that solves many or all UI/UX problems with reddit.
I like how we have a button for advertising
So we do. Huh.
That's so cool
But what about relay?
Relay Version: 8.2.41 Pro

Android Version: O (25)

I used RiF for several years until I found Relay. You should check it out.
Having Reddit Gold will remove ads in Relay too. It also enables cross device syncing for read items (although this has to be activated in your Reddit settings first).
Relay for Reddit Is one of the best around. Highly customizable, very stable. Also a great community subreddit with active participation from the dev at r/RelayforReddit.
Relay for Reddit has awesome formatting features for posts and comments
Has ok look to it too I guess
Oh yeah, and you can close sub threads too.

Literally just installed Relay just for this.
Assuming he's on mobile, the Relay for reddit app tells you how big the gif is as it's downloading. Useful for those of use who aren't lucky enough to still be grandfathered into an unlimited data plan.
Relay for reddit seems to work perfectly for me! Try it.
If on Android, Relay is your friend
Relay for reddit
Firefox (Google doesn't need more info, and you can use adblock)
Textra (better SMS app, if you text a lot)
Solid Explorer (if you need to manage files, its more of a power user app)
Google Opinion Rewards (take surveys and get credit to buy apps)
My app let's me do this
Relay for Reddit is better in my opinion, much nicer UI and colour coded comments, have a go and see if you like it better.
Edit: Look through the pictures at how nice this looks [link]
Don't know but I tried almost all of them and settled for Relay as everything's in app amongst other cool stuff. Gonna link it if you wanna give it a try. The developer updates it often and talks with us too on the apps sub.
You should really check out Relay for Reddit. All of the Reddit clients for Android have got issues, but Relay offers the best experience at the moment and the amount of development going into the beta version shows that it's about to get even better.
Inline ads made to look like normal posts is a dick move.
It annoys me how often I have to open stuff in the browser.
Compared to my normal app, it seems to use quite a bit more battery and data.
Difficult to explain since I'm comparing to the look and feel of an app I've gotten used to over a long time, but it just feels slower and clunkier. I tried the official app for a week straight after using my usual app for a few months, so maybe I'm biased.
Honestly, don't take my word for it, just try some other apps and see if you like them or not. If you're on Android, I highly recommend Relay.
AND it has a live preview for when you do cool markup stuff and a ton of buttons below that lets you quickly ~~ineet~~ insert all the markup styles ^you ^will ^never ^forget ^how ^to format a link to google again
Oh now that's a smart feature to include. Make it super easy to share the playstore link. Genius.
Relay user, no link.

I accidently bump it every now and then, but with its positioning I don't understand how.
The lomg games with intens back and forth and with crazy close teamfights that are won a single mistake on either side are the best ones imo.
The games won in less the 15minutes mostly feel like a waste of time since it almost always is that one side just plays like shit and gets stomped giving up after 5minutes.
relay for reddit!

visit the website in browser, and put an m in front of the link, like so:
xkcd.com/449/ --> m.xkcd.com/449/
Alternatively, Relay for Reddit supports XKCD links just fine.
I don't have Relay so I copy/pasted your comment instead!
Seen it too much, the notifications don't filter NSFW out.
Try this , it lets you see spoilers . I do 99.9% of my redditing on mobile and it's much better than reddit's official app or the browser version
I came across many Reddit apps too, including the official one. No one beats up Relay.
It has a button that lets me put a link to the play store without effort:
Relay for Reddit is a reddit suite for Android devices. There's an inherent flaw in the app's design where any link to search results in the reddit's search engine links to r/search instead, in which many users (myself included) have fallen victim to. Because of this, r/search has slowly shifted to become a casual sub for Relay users as the sub lost it's primary use and relevance.
I have been vegan for 5 weeks, vegetarian for 9 months after taking a course in conservation psychology. I believe there is a large overlap between zerowaste and veganism, as the animal agriculture industry is the leading cause of climate change, shown by the UN 2009 report.
Therefore the best way to decrease ones footprint is to adopt a plant based diet.
The film Cowspiracy helped put things in perspective for me as I almost immediately became a vegetarian after watching it. For some people it's not that easy, and if there's a food that is not vegetarian/vegan that you're not ready to give up, then don't! A slow transition is best for your body anyways, and being partially plant based is far better than nothing at all. At the same time, don't be too afraid to eventually give up that food that you do love. I thought I would never make the transition from vegetarian to vegan, but one day I decided to try and give up cheese (only non vegan food I ate) and I haven't looked back. It's nice not to have a guilty conscious about the waste I was contributing to the planet by eating dairy.
To go from an average consumer to zero waste overnight is impossible, so making small lifestyle changes step by step has been my approach. I give anyone props who makes any attempt at zerowaste/veganism, being scared off by perfection is no reason not to begin the journey.
Really juks your mifggugghs...
Play Store link: [link]
You need to sign up for beta to get the new compose window, but the app in general is great. To get ponies you also need to download the PonyMotes app: [link]
Relay for reddit, for quite a while actually. There were a few quirks I couldn't get past (as sad as it seems, themeing was one of them). I tried out Sync again and here I am.
>lay store link: Relay for reddit
Your ^guts were^^^ a-quiver
And now (••)
(⌐■_■)they’ll be better
It’s blaaargh but it works on your stool.
How'd I do?
Relay actually has a link hotkey in the comment formatting bar!

Which app/browser do you use to read Reddit on mobile? Relay for Reddit does support ponymotes.
Try Relay for Reddit.
I used to use (and love) Reddit is fun, but this one is so much better. Plus, its the only one I have found that can be completely used one-handed.
Relay will automatically open xkcd comic links in the image previewer with the alttext displayed below.
I rather enjoy Relay for reddit if you are on Android
All if these are fair complaints, although the official reddit app (which you complained about force closing) isn't your only option for a reddit app. I personally recommend Relay for reddit, it looks great, it's buttery smooth on my S7 so it will be just as good on the S8 and it's simple and easy to use.
As no one has suggested Relay, let me correct that. Usually comes out out #2 in surveys behind Sync, but I prefer it personally having purchased both. I used to use Alien Blue on my iPod Touch 3rd Gen a few years back and felt Relay (or Reddit News as it was then) was the closest to it when I got my HTC One X.
However, there's a lot of quality choices which appeal to different people. That can only be a good thing.
Relay for reddit. Used to be called reddit news. I like this one the most because everything is swipeable. It also has little pop-up galleries for imgur so you just tap the thumbnail and swipe through the pics.
Use relay for reddit. [link]
And it has a button to provide a link nice and easy
I reccommend Relay for Reddit. It handles sidebars fairly well. However, some links that redirect to in sub searches don't work.
Relay Pro for me, the card layout makes browsing more seamless and color coded comments makes reading threads more comfortable to the eyes.
I don't know if you can with the mobile site, but you can with any of the apps that are available.
I use the paid version of Relay for Reddit on Android.
Just going to drop this here. Relay for Reddit (Android only) opens things like youtube videos in place, it's a great client IMO.
If you are looking for an app to browse reddit on, I'd suggest trying out Relay for reddit.
I've tried many of the other clients, but this is the one I always come back to.
I see you accidentally
pressed that button
/rohhi This is wonderful news. I myself use Relay for Reddit (pro), and love it so much I'm not sure I'll ever leave it, but I always wondered if people would try and get other apps support for ponymotes. Now I can suggest more apps when someone says they can't see emotes on mobile, instead of just promoting relay. Thanks for the news.
Now called Relay for reddit.
This is the one Reddit client (that I know of) that supports the Ponymotes app. You can both see and reply in Ponymotes. The pro version is simply and ad-less version to support /u/DBrady and the Beta is an opt-in to gain access to newer, less tested features.
This is the app that enables Ponymotes by downloading them into the device.
It might take a while to download all the Ponymotes into your device (about 13,000+ files and 88MB for me). I am not entirely sure whether Reddit is Fun is compatible but Relay works.
With all of that done, you are now free to enjoy Ponymotes on your Android device.
Me too! I tried the official recently but no thanks. Switched back instantly.
Relay is the only one I use.
I recommend you to try Relay too. I use Readit on my Lenovo Yoga Book (Windows 10) because I think it resembles Relay the most, but IMO Relay is still king for the kind of usage I do. So maybe you have similar usage habits.
Hint: In Relay, go into settings and try to switch between cards and list mode. I think list mode is much better, tidier and cleaner, and it also looks a lot more like Readit in W10.
For Android: Get Relay and PonyMotes.
For iOS: I don't know.
Relay tells you the file size. You can also set it to compress images when on mobile. OP's gif only used 1.1MB of data on Relay, because the app loaded the gifv instead of the gif.
Relay has this. The account switcher is at the top of the...I forget what it's called, but when you swipe from the left and a menu appears. It's at the top of that.
I honestly don't know why aren't people using Relay in the first place. It has so many features and looks so good.
Sync didn't impress me with anything particularly when I tried it.
I prefer Relay for reddit (Pro) myself, though I also own Sync for reddit.
Well I'll be damned
Next stop shill town! Toot toot!
Relay for Reddit. I've been using it for years and it works very well. It's author is a redditor himself and responds to comments in Relay's subreddit.
Try it and if you like it go for the Pro version to remove any adverts.
Relay for Reddit, Ponymotes.
Personally I prefer Sync for Reddit, but since it doesn't support pony emotes, I have both installed.
You obviously mean Relay for Reddit
Relay for reddit. На сабредите android он один из наиболее популярных. Можно легко настроить под себя. Регулярно обновляется.
On Android, you want Relay for Reddit. That will let you see the default emotes in this sub. Then get Ponymotes and use the menu to download all the rest of the emotes (that'll take a while, do it on wifi rather than cellular).
If Reddit is fun doesn't work, give Relay for reddit a shot. It works well on both for me, plus relay just feels so much nicer to use
I'd suggest relay over sync.
Antenna is an iOS/ Apple app only.
The closest Android app is Relay for Reddit which is the only app I miss from my time on the other side.
Play store links:
Relay free - Ad supported
Relay Pro - $2.99 No ads

Might wanna try Relay for reddit if you have an android device, that seems to work fine for me. It sent me to the context and scrolled down to the comment, which is highlighted.
Edit: Woops nvm, just saw that alien blue is an app for iOS devices. Guess you could try Baconreader or something like that instead?
There's a button built into the comment editor for a link.
I have read that sweat shop jobs are actually classed as middle class, where workers can make more money compared to work such as farming
Woah...I've never scrolled this far right before..

Are you using Relay? There is a rare bug where when viewing some Imgur images it confuses the link. I can confirm that this is indeed the case here - when copying the link to Chrome I get the right GIF!
I don't wanna make it look like a sellout but give it a try
Don't mind me
Not really, but generally most people
would expect a Confederate supporter to speak with one.
Both have nice features. I think boost looks better, but relay controls really well, and looks pretty good as well
Relay is sick! The firt app that I purchased!
While commenting it have a button to put every formating option, even things like this ( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ , ಠ_ಠ , ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) , .... )
And a lot more!
Android or ios? Try relay if you're in Android. Opens up an a pop up working the app.
Do more!!! Use the other options too!!!
Relay for Reddit, imo najlepsza apka jaka istnieje, czytelna, bez żadnego odświeżania, otwierasz galerie/gify/filmy z poziomu aplikacji, a nie w przeglądarkach/aplikacjach trzecich. Natomiast jeśli masz iOS, to nie wiem co ci doradzić, podobno niżej podlinkowany narwhal jest całkiem ok.
India against spam
Mezzmo for dlna
Likewise Relay for reddit has some mod tools as well.
Auto playing gifs? Isn't that like the default behavior?
Personal favorite for Android reddit client - Relay. Sync is another popular alternative, but I prefer the UI on Relay
Have not tried official client yet, but most likely almost any alternative will be better.
Screenshot - I use Relay!
Relay FTW. Nothing beats it
Ah, you beat me to it.
Sent from my Relay for Reddit Pro app.

Relay - and as the comments suggestions... it's the best one
Developer is awesome. One of the few apps I paid for pro on (just because the dev is so responsive)
I don't know what this v.redd.it is but on my app it loads like any other gif. Plus they got this sweet macro that let's you insert their link.
Yeah, the official app is troublesome. The contents would take too long to load(sometimes would even fail to load). That's why I had to search for an alternative for this app and luckily I got a better app named - "Relay".
Relay for reddit (only on Android as far as I know). Only very slightly less functional than reddit is fun, but the Material Design UI makes it worth it IMO. There's also an ad-free version for $2.99.
Assuming you have an Android device, if you use Relay for Reddit and have the PonyMotes app installed and updated, you can see all the emotes!
