I'm currently rocking Relay for Reddit.. Hand's down the best Reddit app I've used. Paging u/dbrady!
Play store link: Relay for reddit
Edit: best feature imho... ಠಠ(☞ﾟヮﾟ)☞(••)
(⌐■■)¯\_(ツ)_/¯ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
Can someone explain why almost everybody posts videos without sound?
There is missing like 80% of the data.
Edit: turns out that Relay for Reddit is a really good app that solves many or all UI/UX problems with reddit.
I like how we have a button for advertising
So we do. Huh.
That's so cool
Relay for Reddit is my favorite.
Edit: who knew silly tribalism extends even to Reddit mobile apps? Let the people like what they like! :)
But what about relay?
Relay Version: 8.2.41 Pro
Phone: Huawei Nexus 6P (Nexus 6P)
Android Version: O (25)
Device (product): angler (angler)
I used RiF for several years until I found Relay. You should check it out.
There's even a dedicated button in the app to enter the above information for promo sake.
Having Reddit Gold will remove ads in Relay too. It also enables cross device syncing for read items (although this has to be activated in your Reddit settings first).
I use Relay and I love it
I prefer relay
It even has this neat button to help me promote it.
Another good reddit app is boost
It even provides a handy link to download
Even comes with a handy download link ;)
Relay for Reddit Is one of the best around. Highly customizable, very stable. Also a great community subreddit with active participation from the dev at r/RelayforReddit.
Relay for Reddit has awesome formatting features for posts and comments
Has ok look to it too I guess
Oh yeah, and you can close sub threads too.
Relay Version: 8.2.41
Phone: Htc m8 (HTC One (M8))
Android Version: 7.1.2 (25)
Device (product): htc_m8 (lineage_m8)
Rom: lineage_m8-userdebug 7.1.2 N2G47O 317cae552a
Literally just installed Relay just for this.
Assuming he's on mobile, the Relay for reddit app tells you how big the gif is as it's downloading. Useful for those of use who aren't lucky enough to still be grandfathered into an unlimited data plan.
Relay for reddit seems to work perfectly for me! Try it.
If on Android, Relay is your friend
Relay for reddit for me almost exclusively.
I use RES when at the desktop, too. I assume that's why I haven't seen any changes there, either.
Since everyone is replying alternatives I'm gonna suggest Relay for Reddit. Play store link: Relay for reddit
Relay for reddit
Firefox (Google doesn't need more info, and you can use adblock)
Textra (better SMS app, if you text a lot)
Solid Explorer (if you need to manage files, its more of a power user app)
Google Opinion Rewards (take surveys and get credit to buy apps)
My app let's me do this
Relay for Reddit is better in my opinion, much nicer UI and colour coded comments, have a go and see if you like it better.
Edit: Look through the pictures at how nice this looks [link]
Relay Pro is king
Don't know but I tried almost all of them and settled for Relay as everything's in app amongst other cool stuff. Gonna link it if you wanna give it a try. The developer updates it often and talks with us too on the apps sub.
Inline ads made to look like normal posts is a dick move.
It annoys me how often I have to open stuff in the browser.
Compared to my normal app, it seems to use quite a bit more battery and data.
Difficult to explain since I'm comparing to the look and feel of an app I've gotten used to over a long time, but it just feels slower and clunkier. I tried the official app for a week straight after using my usual app for a few months, so maybe I'm biased.
Honestly, don't take my word for it, just try some other apps and see if you like them or not. If you're on Android, I highly recommend Relay.
You should really check out Relay for Reddit. All of the Reddit clients for Android have got issues, but Relay offers the best experience at the moment and the amount of development going into the beta version shows that it's about to get even better.
AND it has a live preview for when you do cool markup stuff and a ton of buttons below that lets you quickly ~~ineet~~ insert all the markup styles ^you ^will ^never ^forget ^how ^to format a link to google again
Oh now that's a smart feature to include. Make it super easy to share the playstore link. Genius.
I accidently bump it every now and then, but with its positioning I don't understand how.
Relay user, no link.
Relay Version: 8.2.63 Pro
Phone: TCL 4060S (4060S)
Android Version: 6.0.1 (23)
Device (product): Pixi445CAN (4060S)
Rom: Pixi445CAN-eng 6.0.1 MMB29M v4Q3T-UCT2 release-keys
The lomg games with intens back and forth and with crazy close teamfights that are won a single mistake on either side are the best ones imo.
The games won in less the 15minutes mostly feel like a waste of time since it almost always is that one side just plays like shit and gets stomped giving up after 5minutes.
Works on Relay
Time to be a relay shill again.
Great easy to use material design, but lots of power if you know how to use it properly.
Plus side, dev released an update on Christmas day. On the other hand he hasn't been seen in 2 months, so take that as you will.
relay for reddit!
Phone: Motorola Moto G (5) Plus (Moto G (5) Plus)
Android Version: 7.0 (24)
Device (product): potter (potter)
And on apps also. At least on Relay
visit the website in browser, and put an m in front of the link, like so:
xkcd.com/449/ --> m.xkcd.com/449/
Alternatively, Relay for Reddit supports XKCD links just fine.
I don't have Relay so I copy/pasted your comment instead!
Relay is great.
Seen it too much, the notifications don't filter NSFW out.
Relay on Android.
Try this , it lets you see spoilers . I do 99.9% of my redditing on mobile and it's much better than reddit's official app or the browser version
I used that app until I saw relay on a friend's phone. Took some mental effort to even think of switching. But now I'll never go back to reddit is fun.
I came across many Reddit apps too, including the official one. No one beats up Relay.
It has a button that lets me put a link to the play store without effort:
Relay for Reddit is a reddit suite for Android devices. There's an inherent flaw in the app's design where any link to search results in the reddit's search engine links to r/search instead, in which many users (myself included) have fallen victim to. Because of this, r/search has slowly shifted to become a casual sub for Relay users as the sub lost it's primary use and relevance.
I have been vegan for 5 weeks, vegetarian for 9 months after taking a course in conservation psychology. I believe there is a large overlap between zerowaste and veganism, as the animal agriculture industry is the leading cause of climate change, shown by the UN 2009 report.
Therefore the best way to decrease ones footprint is to adopt a plant based diet.
The film Cowspiracy helped put things in perspective for me as I almost immediately became a vegetarian after watching it. For some people it's not that easy, and if there's a food that is not vegetarian/vegan that you're not ready to give up, then don't! A slow transition is best for your body anyways, and being partially plant based is far better than nothing at all. At the same time, don't be too afraid to eventually give up that food that you do love. I thought I would never make the transition from vegetarian to vegan, but one day I decided to try and give up cheese (only non vegan food I ate) and I haven't looked back. It's nice not to have a guilty conscious about the waste I was contributing to the planet by eating dairy.
To go from an average consumer to zero waste overnight is impossible, so making small lifestyle changes step by step has been my approach. I give anyone props who makes any attempt at zerowaste/veganism, being scared off by perfection is no reason not to begin the journey.

You need to sign up for beta to get the new compose window, but the app in general is great. To get ponies you also need to download the PonyMotes app: [link]
Really juks your mifggugghs...
Relay for reddit, for quite a while actually. There were a few quirks I couldn't get past (as sad as it seems, themeing was one of them). I tried out Sync again and here I am.
I'm not even working anymore but I was working full time and it ended up that if I worked all day the next day I was in so much pain I couldn't get out of bed. I ended up missing more and more work and being less capable at work because I was always in pain and weak, and I worked in a kennel in an animal hospital. I needed to have my energy and strength and it was gone. My husband makes all right money and is now supporting us both. It sucks, even when this started I never pictured myself not working and as it stands now just keeping my house clean or going grocery shopping is exhausting. I feel what you're going through. It sucks. I don't even know what advice you give other than saying I understand how hard it is to try to live your life in this condition.
And by the way the app I use for Reddit is Relay for Reddit and it's pretty great, it has a few bugs here and there but good features including a button to filter out posts you've seen already.
You can use the relay for Reddit app. That's what I use anyway. I think you can slow it down to 1/128th.
Upvote for Relay visibility!!!
When I was reinstalling my Apps I mistook the pro upgrade in the free version for the Pro version I had previously used.
Is it something like that?
I don't know, but I do know that Relay for Reddit has that feature
No seu navegador você pode instalar o addon/ a extensão:
RES (Reddit Enhancement Suite)
No canto superior direito deve aparecer um ícone azul que lembra uma roda dentada, clicando sobre ela você pode acessar:
RES settings console > Subreddits > filteReddit > flair
Relay actually has a link hotkey in the comment formatting bar!

Your ^guts were^^^ a-quiver
And now (••)
(⌐■_■)they’ll be better
It’s blaaargh but it works on your stool.
How'd I do?
This gets my vote for ios. If you're on android relay for reddit is best.
Which app/browser do you use to read Reddit on mobile? Relay for Reddit does support ponymotes.
Try Relay for Reddit.
I used to use (and love) Reddit is fun, but this one is so much better. Plus, its the only one I have found that can be completely used one-handed.
I personally am using (and loving) Relay .
Or Relay on Android. <3 u Relay
Relay will automatically open xkcd comic links in the image previewer with the alttext displayed below.
I rather enjoy Relay for reddit if you are on Android
All if these are fair complaints, although the official reddit app (which you complained about force closing) isn't your only option for a reddit app. I personally recommend Relay for reddit, it looks great, it's buttery smooth on my S7 so it will be just as good on the S8 and it's simple and easy to use.
As no one has suggested Relay, let me correct that. Usually comes out out #2 in surveys behind Sync, but I prefer it personally having purchased both. I used to use Alien Blue on my iPod Touch 3rd Gen a few years back and felt Relay (or Reddit News as it was then) was the closest to it when I got my HTC One X.
However, there's a lot of quality choices which appeal to different people. That can only be a good thing.
I use Relay for reddit on Android. Free version comes with ads, but it's a great all so I gladly paid for the pro. ~$3 I think? No ads ever. Highly recommend it!
Actually, the Reddit mobile app sucks. This is way better than reddit mobile
Relay for reddit. Used to be called reddit news. I like this one the most because everything is swipeable. It also has little pop-up galleries for imgur so you just tap the thumbnail and swipe through the pics.
Dude.... You forget. No Relay user should:
You would need to contact the developer of Sync about that issue.
I use Relay to see them on mobile without any issues.
You can also install PonyMotes along with Relay to see emotes from other subreddits.
Use relay for reddit. [link]
Relay for Reddit.
That, or Sync for Reddit.
Both are excellent options. In addition to an iPhone 7 Plus, I also own an Axon 7. To which, Relay for Reddit is my favorite whilst using that phone. It's very streamlined and the developer is very active. Give it a shot!
Edit: If you do get Relay, be sure to try out the different themes. I'd recommend switching to Night, or Night (OLED) if you want to save your retinas!
That's nice, but we are talking about the app "Relay for reddit "
And it has a button to provide a link nice and easy
You need to add them as a friend so it highlights the name.
Everytime I see purple box I know now.
I use Relay for Reddit. It has a neat little link button for me to advertise for them....
Relay Pro for me, the card layout makes browsing more seamless and color coded comments makes reading threads more comfortable to the eyes.
Ragelyje naudoju Relay for Reddit, nusipirkau Pro versiją, nes iš tikro geras app'sas, labai patogiai viskas veikia, yra visos svarbiausios funkcijos.
I reccommend Relay for Reddit. It handles sidebars fairly well. However, some links that redirect to in sub searches don't work.
Used to use BaconReader. No bueno. Switch to Relay. Miles better. BaconReader used to destroy my battery, and just isn't as intuitive.
>In the meantime, feel free to tell me which reddit app is best for android. And by best i mean supports bpm.
I highly recommend Relay for Reddit ($2-3 if you want to get rid of ads), with PonyMotes for BPM. PonyMotes needs to download every emote of BPM (110MB, 19k images at the moment) so that takes forever when you first download and update it (maybe an hour). Also keep in mind that you have to check for new emotes manually, and it can take a month or two between new emotes being added to this sub and when PonyMotes gets them.
I'm pretty sure there's at least one other app that fully supports BPM, though I don't remember which, and I think the official app supports just the ones from /r/MyLittlePony.
I don't know if you can with the mobile site, but you can with any of the apps that are available.
I use the paid version of Relay for Reddit on Android.
Just going to drop this here. Relay for Reddit (Android only) opens things like youtube videos in place, it's a great client IMO.
If you are looking for an app to browse reddit on, I'd suggest trying out Relay for reddit.
I've tried many of the other clients, but this is the one I always come back to.
I see you accidentally
pressed that button
Android? Try this one. V.reddit videos work for me just fine. Default to no sound, but can click the unmute button easily for sound.
Relay is better than reddit app
Don't you just love how the app has a built in button to advertise the app
(/rohhi) This is wonderful news. I myself use Relay for Reddit (pro), and love it so much I'm not sure I'll ever leave it, but I always wondered if people would try and get other apps support for ponymotes. Now I can suggest more apps when someone says they can't see emotes on mobile, instead of just promoting relay. Thanks for the news.
Me too! I tried the official recently but no thanks. Switched back instantly.
Now called Relay for reddit.
Relay is the only one I use.
This is the one Reddit client (that I know of) that supports the Ponymotes app. You can both see and reply in Ponymotes. The pro version is simply and ad-less version to support /u/DBrady and the Beta is an opt-in to gain access to newer, less tested features.
This is the app that enables Ponymotes by downloading them into the device.
It might take a while to download all the Ponymotes into your device (about 13,000+ files and 88MB for me). I am not entirely sure whether Reddit is Fun is compatible but Relay works.
With all of that done, you are now free to enjoy Ponymotes on your Android device.
Best Reddit app out of every one I've ever tried.
