Here's the direct link in the Play store, it should tell you if it's compatible with your device. I hope it works for you!
Maybe you can't import because the file system on Android is different and the map files are hard-coded or packaged into the .OBB file or whatever. Probably the only way would be to unpackage that file, add your maps and repackage it, but then this could ruin its integrity and the .APK might not recognize it anymore and then all the work is pointless. Even one more reason why this Android version is a scam, because the Android version has been pulled form Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii and the only way to get it is to side-load it. No wonder they pulled it, because its a blatant scam - costs a lot, lacks content and functionality that was present before, basically it's a joke aimed at people's emotions and nostalgia.
There is an official port of this game in the Play Store

It's $10, it's extremely old, but it's very fun and will have you going for hours at a time if strategy is your thing.
Here it is. Heroes of Might and Magic III.
It does show as incompatible for my phone although I am able to run Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5 etc., which is kind of weird...
A few years ago there was an official Heroes of Might & Magic III HD by Ubisoft for tablets on Google play but I couldn't find it since about 2 years ago. Maybe you can find it yourself in your region (cuz a lot of apps and games are not available in my country)
After that my friend gave me some files which are working fine, but I don't know the source. I'll ask him if he remembers.
Edit: I believe this is the official one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii - tablet only but I believe people have had success sideloading it on to phones.
Also see other great games along these lines: Linkme: merchant, ymbab, wizards and wagons, super gridland,
The Google Play page for the game says:
> Pass the tablet around and play with your friends in a thrilling local multiplayer mode
I wonder if that means its tablet-only?
When you state cartoony graphics do you mean like anime, since some of the heroes games like HM&M 3 had sort of cartoony graphics when we compare them to pixel, realistic graphics.
Heroes 3 itself on android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii&hl=en
A bit cartoony and rarely advertised
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.clashofheroes
There are apps that emulate the engines for HOMM 2 & 3. All you need to do is add the data files from the original games to play those campaigns. Or you can play community made campaigns.
Linkme: VCMI for Android, Free Heroes 2
There's also an HD remake of HOMM 3 for tablets from Ubi.
Linkme: Heroes of Might and Magic III HD
Edit: Added correct link to HOMM3HD since the bot got it wrong.
Ubisoft actually released HoMM3 on android, I believe it's for tablets only though.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii
There's also this fan made project
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.sourceforge.fheroes2
The android port is still shit. Worse still, Ubisoft made an official "HD" port that is also shit. If it's any consolation, HOMM2 has a working port called Freed Heroes 2
I don't know if it is common knowledge, but they released this for Android Tablets not long ago. Here is the link.
It's already released
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii
Looks like HoMM3 is only available for tablets. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii
No HOMM3? Sacrilege :P
Linkme: Heroes of Might & Magic III HD.
Edit: bad bot https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii
I mean... you can even buy the HD remake
Had to pull it off the open internet - my phone isn't compatible.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii
You can also use VCMI to play the original game files
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii
You need a tablet, but I've heard of people having luck sideloading it on phones
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii
It's only available on tablet
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii&hl=en
For Android tablets
No good for my android phone though
Cost is 9.99 usd
^this so much. Especially since its been ported to android. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii
But there is a few HoMM3 versions for mobile:
Heroes of Might & Magic III HD for Android official Ubisoft version for Android, but without any expansion packs (only base game)
Heroes of Might & Magic III HD for ios official Ubisoft version for ios, but without any expansion packs (only base game)
VCMI - open source, free HoMM3 port for Android
Why not just play the HD version?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.mightandmagic.heroesiii&hl=en
If it doesn't show up on your device's Play Store it means it is incompatible.
I assume you know about them but lets get them out of the way.
Baldur's gate 1, 2 and Icewind dale
Not sure if you're into first person RPG's, but there's Delver.
And a LOT is possible with DOS emulation. Especially if you have something like a Shield. I emulate Daggerfall and Lands of Lore 1 & 2 on it. I also second Knights of pen and paper, it's great.
