The lowest level AI on this app is very weak, check it out.

Beyond that, though, I would encourage you to do some analysis of your games. Even if you can't beat low-level AI's when you're playing live (no big deal!), it would probably be helpful to do a post-mortem analysis with a computer. You will probably learn a lot from having your blunders pointed out to you. You can upload your PGNs to lichess.org and get free analysis there (PM me if you need assistance with that process, I'm happy to help). Have fun, and good luck!
I've always just used Chess free. It's got everything I need. But you should also check out this app called iChess. It's a really fun way to pass the time.

I started a couple of months ago during pooping. Currently winning some and losing some games against the computer on Level 3. I also enjoy that it's a game that can be stopped and picked up again easily throughout the day/week.
Chess by AI Factory is a really good game/tutor. There's a free version (see link).
Here are three off the top of my head:
Chess Free (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.aifactory.chessfree) - A normal chess application that can be played one player or two player and whose AI can be configured to increase or decrease the difficulty.
Really Bad Chess (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.noodlecake.reallybadchess) - This is like normal chess but with random numbers of pieces. For example, you might play a game where you have five queens while your opponent has seven knights and four bishops.
Checkmate Chess Puzzles (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tangledreality.endgame) - You're dropped into a game in progress and are challenged to get checkmate in a certain number of moves.
I believe Chess Free by AI Factory Limited is what they're playing on
I started practicing on http://chesstempo.com. You can play for free, but I find it's worth the $4/mo for extra features. I did that for a while, then started playing this (free as well) chess game on Android. I've been playing a few games a day for the past year, went back to chesstempo and my ability to solve tactics problems has gone way up.
Chess free is what I'm using. It's good and has little ads

It's an app on the Google play.
I use Chess Free. It has excellent AI, good teaching tools, and the ability to record your games. You can also set it up as a board, so you can play people in real life.
