Sentinels of the Multiverse was $6.99 now $2.99 Cloud saving and crossplay with mac, pc, and android. the IAP are for levels and season passes.

The graphics may be a little old school, but the game play is superior to some other card games I've played. It has great replay value.

Although it has IAPs, you don't need to purchase anything, as they are for additional heroes and villains.

If you're into deckbuilding card games at all, Sentinels of the Multiverse is a meaty portrait game that can be played/completed in a resonal session length.

Don't forget Sentinels of the Multiverse

Sentinels of the Multiverse is a boardgame to PC/mobile game conversion where you use a selection of hero decks to battle a supervillain deck in combination with an environment deck. Very entertaining, but pricey especially when taking expansions into account.

Drop7 is an addictive continuous puzzle game where you try to clear tiles based on their numerical values. While the appstore mentions ads and in-app purchases, I have seen neither. Then again, I only play classic mode.

Solitairica is a cross between solitaire and RPG mechanics where you play solitaire to collect coins in order to purchase upgrade to solitaire-based abilities. It's very addictive and doesn't get tiring fast, particularly because the different classes offer a different tactical approach to gameplay.

Deckknight is a largely chance-based RPG where the events and encounters are drawn from a deck based on the region you're currently in. Once you figure out largely what the events do and the trick behind combat, it's pretty much entirely chance-based and not all that fun anymore. However, for a free game it's okay. Despite there being an option to disable ads with an in-app purchase, I haven't seen any ads yet.

Depending on the duration. For short flights, my go to games are:

• Card games, such as Sentinels of the Multiverse

• Sky Force Reloaded

• Simple tower defense games, e.g. Zombie City Defense which recently went free for a while

For flights lasting 3 hours or more, I'd play some tower defense or adventure games, e.g.:

• Machinarium

• Never Alone

• Any tower defense game

For flights lasting more than 6 hours, I'd play my favourite game:

• This War Of Mine
