I love this! I have a thing for seasonality. It will sounds silly, but I felt strong connection with Steady as the beating drum Pocahontas song when I was a child (ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・゚✧ I highly recommend 72 Seasons App, it's really inspiring (and Japanese, so kind of on-topic!).
I really enjoy clearing up both my wardrobe and skincare wardrobe for the upcoming season. Many things I wear/use all year round - cleansers and essences like LJH Tea Tree 90 are my jeans and tees of the skincare world. But others need to be replaced, the "old" ones hidden or thrashed, if they may go bad.
I'm lucky to live in a place with four seasons (which are sort of more like winter, one week of spring, summer, three weeks of fall nowadays, but I guess it still counts) and I feel keeping up with the seasons goes really well with a minimalistic way of life. The start of a new season is a good moment to clear up my stash and asses what worked for me and what didn't. It allows me to get rid of stuff I didn't use in the last season, too. I can plan what I will use and wear the upcoming season, what I have and what I need to get (which is exciting!).
I don't think extensive AB routine clashes with the minimalistic way of life. As long as everything I own is stuff I like and use, I don't see them as excessive or unnecessary.
Eating seasonally is a great thing too, because it focuses on fresh, locally available products, mostly fruits and veggies, which is healthy and also good for skin!
In general, it just makes me more in tune with the world, which is another silly thing, but feels awesome.
There's also a nice Android app (idk about iPhone version.)
