What is Reddit's opinion of Riptide GP2?

I think Riptide GP 2 does, at least it has a split screen local multiplayer option. Never tried it though.

/edit: Checked it. Yes, you can play the game in splitscreen when you have external controllers connected.

As much as I'd like to recommend one of the Riptide games (GP2 and Renegade), and they can be fun, they kinda fall victim to the "you're usually losing races because your stats aren't high enough, go grind for money, upgrade, and try again" gameplay loop

Maybe try Riptide? Except you race on water here. Buy hey, it's lightweight, it looks great, it has multiplayer and all that funky stuff, it's a good game.

Riptide GP2 is cool. It's jetski racing, with tricks and boosts.

Or maybe wait for the upcoming Riptide GP Renegade. it's the same, but better.

Riptide GP2

Riptide GP2 and Beach Buggy Racing support split screen multiplayer. Bomb Squad also works. Chrome used to work until the last update, I hope it gets back at google I/O, otherwise, there's a (pretty basic but working) browser on the play store, called Web Browser for Android TV

Discovery sucks on the tv play store, there are a lot of games that work and can't be found unless you know the name, I hope that to be improved. Emulators work great and the few I tried worked with two gamepads, I'm using an asus one and an xbox 360 wireless one. To get the 360 working properly, I had to root it and symlink a file, that should also work out of the box.

Still, I'm happy with mine, Kodi works great, as does Plex, Netflix and Hulu Plus. I'm not a prime user, sucks what amazon just did with it, but the same was true on android until recently, they need to sell their hardware...
