Absolutely -- I really like not having to fumble for my glasses to see the time, and my combo of watch & phone alarm (via Alarmist) works really well. Sleep tracking is also depressingly accurate for me.
I wear my PTS to bed every night. I love being able to check the time without fumbling for my glasses or phone. I use a combined alarm on my Android phone and the Pebble (via Alarmist), and never sleep through an alarm anymore.
I use the Alarmist app to set alarms on my phone and have them go off on both phone and wrist. Best combo I've ever had in terms of waking me up, but it would be great if this incorporated some kind of "smart alarm" functionality too!
Under Android, they are if you install the Alarmist app. This has been working really well for me.
Under iOS I have no idea if this is possible (maybe if jailbroken?).
FYI, you can sync Android Clock alarms with the Pebble using Alarmist. I never oversleep anymore.
Alarmist (Android only, requires companion app); Nav Me (also for Android only); Grosh (shopping list app, also requires iOS or Android app be installed); Note To Self; Dashboard (Android).
Alarmist is what you're looking for. It's amazing!! (If you're on Android.)

Many great apps already mentioned, I'll add:
In addition to some apps already mentioned (Dashboard, Nav Me), I still heavily lean on:
I also still use Hive for ecobee sometimes, but it's a little unreliable.
Depends on your needs, I suppose. I find the Grosh companion shopping app very valuable -- I can push a cart through the aisles, list on my wrist, without trying to scrutinise a paper list or juggle my phone (especially risky with my toddler in the cart trying to grab it). I'm also more on top of my grocery needs, since I can quickly dictate to add an item to the list. A necessity? No, but fun and useful.
Note to Self has also been really useful for setting quick reminders. I used to forget to go grab the laundry for hours, now I never do. And finally, the combination of my Android alarm clock and Alarmist has meant I never oversleep anymore.
If understand your first question, it sounds like you want to synchronize phone and watch alarms? This is not a Pebble feature out-of-the-box, but with Android you can make it happen with Ben Caller's app, Alarmist (and its Android companion app). Note, this will only work with the Google Clock app, which isn't always the one that's shipped stock on Android phones by OEMs.
Here's the second trick: if you like and use Alarmist, you can mute the Clock app's own notifications, and never see another "Upcoming alarm" notification again!
Alarmist (Android companion app) -- syncs alarms with the Google Clock app.
Note to Self -- quick voice-activated reminders.
Grosh -- shopping list management (account required, works with the Grosh web app, Android or iOS apps).
I like the combination of Alarmist for Android (Android companion app), and Google's native Clock app. The vibration and snooze features work well for me.
