Several listed here, but... Alien Hive is a game I highly recommend.
And the developer is still supporting it.

There's also a free version of EvoCreo, where you get to try out the first three towns. You can transfer your save, so - might be worth a shot. Could also look at the Dungelot games.
And then I would suggest these threads (I realise they are longer than your 6-7 hours, but should be fine).
