I just released Aoba, a Japanese - English dictionary.
It has approximately 750,000 entries, split between regular, kanji, example. and name dictionaries. It also features a text analyzer, kanji lookup tool, lists, and other knick-knacks. Supports 4.1+
I use it with this app, and another in development. It's extremely easy to define models, relationships, and query the lot. Modifying objects is no trouble at all.
Queries are just as fast as (if not faster than) the SQLite equivalent on my Nexus 4. Unless you're trying to do something outrageous, you'll probably be fine with it. The devs are very active on Github as well, so they wouldn't leave you hanging if something pops up.
Aoba has what you're looking for.
