I tried Battlestation: first contact and kind of liked it except not enough. Is there something similar, but with shorter levels that require different strategies? Something more forgiving where I do not have to repeat 20 minutes of gameplay when I loose.
I like the space theme, but it does not have to be station specifically. It can be either resource management as battlestation have or space tactic/strategy like Hoplite is.
LinkMe: Battlestation.
The graphics are obviously different, but I think the core game is about the same; the main difference being this game is more tower defense-like and enemies come in waves.
You start off with one battlestation which you gradually upgrade. You can also build hangars for small fighters to be produced, and you can steal enemy ships. Your progress continues from wave to wave as well (which was the stand-out feature for me in Homeworld).
The free version only has the first campaign with IAPs to unlock the rest of the campaigns.
Here's a direct link incase playstorebot gives out the wrong game https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fi.bugbyte.battleprequel
I have no idea what "Out There" is. Battlestation: First Contact is here

We are working on a game series called Battlestation: http://battlestation.fi/ . Games for mobile, PC and even board games. We have some promising stuff out already and very well networked with all the important connections. I would love to tell you more. The first Battlestation mobile game can be played on Android and iOS:
We are passionate and I can teach you all I know about the games industry, it is interesting stuff!
