This is something I posted in /r/billiards yesterday. I'd like some feedback from you guys as well. Thanks for taking a look.
I've been learning how to program for java/Android for the past long while and the project I chose to create was a stats tracking app for pool. All you have to do is input the balls you made and how your turn ended (safety, miss, unsuccessful safety, push, etc.). You can also choose to keep track of more advanced stats like what type of shot you missed (cut, bank, kick, etc.) as well as how you missed it (left of aim point, right of aim point, too thick, too thin, long/short for banks), how far the CB was from the OB, the OB from the pocket, the speed at which you hit it and where you were cueing. It currently scores for APA/BCA 8, 9 and 10 ball, I'm planning on making it score straight pool too, but right now I'm not 100% sure how I want that to work.
I just released it as a beta on the play store, it is currently absolutely free and ad-free, but I'm not going to promise that it'll stay that way, I may make certain features in-app purchases at some point in the future, but the beta version will always have all features open for free.
This is the link to the app on the play store and here is the opt-in to download the app from the play store.
I'd really appreciate some feedback on how the current app is and things you would like to see in future versions. You can get in contact with me through the app by selecting the overflow menu and selecting submit feedback, in this thread, or through the play store link.
