ahh, did you log onto the scam site on your phone or on a computer, and did you give it an authenticator code? and if on your phone : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitdefender.antivirus&hl=en_GB
On Android, If you want purely a malware removal scanner, Bitdefender Antivirus Free works well. For real time protection from malicious apps and websites, install Sophos Intercept X For Mobile, then run a system scan once installed.
Bitdefender is the quickest and easiest to set up, Sophos though offers the most comprehensive protection, both are completely free.
Hm. This is a weird one for sure. A couple thoughts:
A virus scan never hurts - if you don't have one already, I've found BitDefender Free to be pretty solid. A virus seems unlikely but could theoretically be the cause, if the router is blocking your device entirely because of some bad requests it's making.
Often toggling airplane mode on and back off will solve wifi issues by forcing a complete shut down and restart of all wireless communication systems
If that fails, shut down your phone, wait 30sec, then power on again. Same logic here.
-In this order: Manually Forget your wifi network. Turn off wifi. Unplug your router. Wait 1min. Plug router back in, wait for it to come online. Turn wifi back on and reconnect from scratch. This might clear any sort of 'glitched session' issues between the android and the router.
-Next time you're out at a place with a public wifi, connect to it and see if the problem happens on that network too. This one is gonna be a big help in narrowing down where the problem is.
-Beyond that, you may end up having to dig around a bit in the advanced wireless settings of your android, and/or your routers config settings. If you can give me the model/OS version of the android and the model of the router I might be able to be more specific here, though no promises.
A note to the author, Bitdefender is only free is you download the Bitdefender Free edition. Not to get mixed up with Bitdefender.
He's got a point Android has a ton of malware. It doesn't help that there's a silly dogma against anti virus software especially here in this sub out of blind faith in Google and linux.

One of several reasons why you should have anti-malware protection on your devices. Bitdefender makes a good, free one.
Everyone has their favorite antivirus and they are usually different.
Here is one article comparing them.

I personally use the paid version of Bitdefender but they also have this free version:
Didn't just rip an apk from an unknown website. Got it from their company page on Google Play. No need to patronize.
Did MBAM find anything?
Run Bitdefender as well.
I recommend using an light antivirus app like Bitdefender. You probably won't come across anything harmful on android. However an antivirus app is really useful as it notifies you if you install an app or game that aggressively pushes ads into your notifications.
