OK it sounds like the issue is with your carrier if it's MMS. Did you run and make sure all your apps are up to date in Play Store? There has been updates to the Messaging app from Google.
BB Virtual Expert is BlackBerry's tool for testing the phone's hardware, if this passes and it has no issues, then it's safe to say it's not the phone.
