There performance is pretty good. I've released a small game a while ago with a whole lot of particles that can be adjusted. My galaxy II can handle medium, but new phones can handle max. Link for the interested
Could I please have some brutal honesty about a game I released about a year ago. It was a huge flop, and I want to know what I did wrong. Does my game suck or did I simply fail at marketing? Personally, I made the game for myself and actually still enjoy it to this day. It's the ideal "basic phone game" for me, and I'm pretty sure it has very original game mechanics. I'm even contemplating a "sequel" with a much larger scope, but I'd feel a lot better if I was doing it for more than just my own personal amusement.
Note: the controller is the "play" button... apparently the UI art pack I used wasn't that clear.
TL;DR: I'd like some brutally honest feedback on why my game failed
From my experience, you probably aren't going to make that much money from Android ads and even less from selling the game on Android. I think the game has to either be VERY good (great graphics, nice story) or have a nice trailer to even get noticed.
My game Bungle Bounce only has 9 current installs, and none of them seem to even be playing the game as there is only 1 review. So I pretty much failed on the marketing side (bad video and poor advertising) and/or no one really likes my game besides me (but I really can't tell because I've literally received next to no feedback!!!). The game has a pro version that seems to have sold 0 copies and the ads made me less than $3. RIP.
So yeah, good luck and focus on marketing! Make a good trailer! Hope you do better than me!
