Moon+ reader doesn't have that option, however, if you can install ColorDict and load .dict dictionaries for it, ColorDict will keep a list of the words you've looked up from Moon Reader, but no context of what you were reading is saved.
Color dict is the best dictionary for android.
It is completely offline, is well integrated by moon reader (tap any word in an ebook to get the definition (all in-app)).
And has support to install thesaurus also.. All completely offline!

It's funny, I could have sworn I have it installed because MPR prompted me.
Colordict works perfectly and it is available offline.
Neat. I have a similar task but triggered via Notification Panel. Copy the text on clipboard, swipe down navigation drawer and select ColorDict from the toolbar. This will open ColorDict in a popup with the text definition read from the clipboard.
[EDIT]: Made a video if anyone is interested in this configuration.

Your implementation looks cleaner though and lesser steps to see the meaning.
On clicking the ColorDict button in notif panel, it triggers a tasker task that reads the clipboard and invokes ColorDict search intent with the text auto populated.
And ColorDict works OFFLINE too.
Edit: Pics or it didn't happen

If your college has WiFi in every classroom and most places you would study, IMO being able to connect like you do with a cellphone is not necessary. Plus, if you already have a cellphone, you might look into tethering that connection on the occasions you absolutely must be connected and cannot find a signal.
You will be able to take notes and create while not connected, just fine. Some Study Apps might have been built to rely on a constant connection, so you will need to find apps that do not freak out when there is no connection. You can also get accessories that will help you be prepared for inevitable but not completely unforeseeable circumstances. For example, invest in an USB-C dongle with an Ethernet port in case you ever need that. To save some of the $200, there are other simple things you can do. For me, this included having a few movies and games saved on my SD Card, for when I want downtime (and to show off). See, you can also use a Bluetooth controller while connected to a big TV via HDMI with such a dongle (it can do it over WiFi but has much less latency while wired); so, basically, you are carrying a couple of old gaming consoles, too.. Etc. You don't need to be connected for that either. There are other ways to get things done, they just take more steps to get ready yourself. For me, that is worth $200!
IDK if it will work for you where you are, but I am currently able to make and receive calls over WiFi with my free Google Voice number. That is freaking awesome!
I am far after college, but I still always keep apps that work great offline, just in case. Get things that you might need ahead of time. For example, I carry with me, from device to device, an offline dictionary app called ColorDict Dictionary so I don't have to have a connection to look-up something. Ever. It is a BYO dictionary app that works from BYO data files. It can carry other reference books for offline working (writing), too, like Thesaurus, Translation, Medical, and other specialty field dictionaries. It also works great with and from within my reader app, Moon+ Reader Pro, which also has links to free book sources. I LOVE about the Dictionary app that I can speak the word and it spells it for me, OFFline. I use that ALL the time!
TL;RD: Not worth it, IMO, especially if you already have a cellphone.
