Thanks for posting this! I'm the dev of this app. Here's a giphy to show what the app is about. It allows you to search printed texts (e.g. books, magazines, bills, documents) by scanning them with your camera. If you want to keep the scan, you can export it as a searchable PDF.
Edit: Play store link
CTRL-F - Search printed documents, books, manuals
I often wish for a "CTRL-F"-shortcut for the real world, so I went ahead and developed it! The app (free & without ads) allows you to search any kind of printed texts - documents, books, magazines...you name it! You can also export the scanned image as a searchable PDF - neat, right?
You can check out a demo video and screenshots on the app's homepage
Iirc there was an app that did this and it was called Ctrl+f. I'll see if I can find it before my battery dies
Ok. I don't think it's what you're looking for but here it is anyways
CTRL-F lets you scan documents using your phone's camera, then uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to make words searchable. Best part, it's completely free!
Here's a Play Store link for those who need it
Ctrl-f does a pretty good job if you are going to use it for documents like .pdf files.
You are welcome.
Android app that does what OP wants.
