Remember to update your review after any app updates.
Don't take it personally. It's just that you're a bit late to the party, the changes are 1-2 months old now for many users. People here are tired of talking about it.
And no matter how much we complain here, and on the app stores, the people running OkC have shown 0 signs of caring about our feedback.
If you speak Japanese and are looking for a more serious relationship I'd recommend Pairs instead.
It's a little expensive, but that does tend to ensure more thoughtful profiles / interactions.
I met two lovely individuals and had a couple good dates.
Alice is still listed on this article: https://help.okcupid.com/article/28-contact
However, when I go to the "About" page of the website, I see that Alice is no longer listed with the other employees. I think she's definitely gone, it's just that the website is very inconsistent about updating.
I have no idea about Laurelin. Maybe she's gone too.
Like you say, this really is a mess! It's not even just the website either, I was curious so I checked the Google App Store and apparently the app version is having some serious bug issues too. Supposedly, the stacks in DoubleTake won't update or will even disappear.

Interesting article, but it would have been nice to be warned that it was paid advertising from the get-go. The Pure app has nearly 4000 1star reviews.
Check this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jnj.mocospace.android&hl=en_GB
There are loads of apps like that. I've tried them and my photos are uploaded instantly. I can't believe that Google makes developers responsible for their users actions otherwise most social networking / chat apps would be banned by now
Yeah for sure
Here's my free, very simple but fun app for couples (works with Wear too): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ncavesoft.lovetaps
Here's my paid (trial) app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ncavesoft.drivingreaderfree
They're entirely just weekend spare time kinds of things, luckily in my day job building much larger apps I also have a team of designers to actually make it pretty :)
Chatous is based on interest/tags. Give it a shot!
And
Moco has variety of chatrooms you can join
Link me: Chatous, Moco
Edit - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jnj.mocospace.android&hl=en - Dunno how to link Moco :(
I don't know how seriously they take feedback from the surveys or the feedback form, but there are a couple other ways to contact them you could try.
1) Write a review on the Google App Store.
2) Write a reply on one of their Twitter posts, or make a tweet @OKCupid.
Get privacy hider https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trigtech.privateme
You can select apps to install and hide here (Kik) and you can change it to look like a calculator and have a pin to unlock
is this the one you're talking about?

It sounds perfect. I think there are others just like this, but I'm not sure how to find them.
edit: won't open like you said. crashes on android 8.
Yesterday someone said it was only available on the Japanese version of the google and apple stores. You will probably have to get a Japanese phone? Just use Tinder, its free and accomplishes the same thing.

Heres a link to the google store version. It might get you it.
This app already exists, man. In so many forms. Tinder, butter, and more. First step is always to see if someone else had the idea first. One of them literally has the same name you pitched. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hotornot.app&hl=en
