Hi reddit!
I am one of the developers of the Android puzzle game Docker.
What started as a fun little school-project has, with the latest update, finally evolved into a fully-featured android game. It was about 9 month of on and off work, with quite some of late-night coding and I'm really proud we managed to finish our very first game project.
Docker is a classic puzzle game, another take at stacking games like Tetris, if you will. Your task is to load containers of different sizes and weights on a cargo ship. To get a good score and, first and above all, keep your ship from sinking or even breaking in half, you need to stack them as efficiently and balanced as possible. Put too much weight on one side of the ship and it will capsize. Put too much weight on one single spot and it may break in half. So there is some math involved, you can mostly go by feel though.
There are three game modes, including a career mode with 3 level packages. All three have individual graphics (all hand drawn pixelart) and unlockable ships. Depending on our success with the game, you can expect more levels to come.
It's free, but has some ads in it. We tried to make them not too obtrusive. There is an ad-free Premium mode too, which you can buy (it's the only in-app purchase though).
You can get it right here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.docker.android
I'd be very glad if you'd check it out and we really hope you'll like it.
