IIRC, Essential Anatomy lets you write notes when you select certain muscles/bones/etc. It's a very roundabout way of doing things, but could this work?
Essential Anatomy 3 is a fantastic app if that is your sorta thing!
This has quizzes, you can select which parts and how to be quizzed. Best I have found so far.....https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.the3d4medical.EssentialAnatomy
Ask for help. At my school, first years were paired up with second years so they can ask for advice. Upperclassmen from her school should be able to give more relevant advice, but if not, here's a few things I did for anatomy.
I watched and rewatched the heck out of the Acland videos, bought Netters, got Essential Anatomy itunes or android when it was on sale, and I essentially made a bunch of flashcards that I did over and over again (I wrote it on via tablet, but MS Paint can work too).
Basically, just keep going. Reiteration is key. I didn't remember any of this crap the first time around, but it got a lot better by the 5th or the 10th.
Additionally, you don't need to do this by yourself. We had amazing TAs in the anatomy lab. I went over anatomy with my friends and by teaching/quizzing, we all eventually learned it well enough to pass.
