I've created G Chords because I found the android experience wasn't providing the same choice and the functionality of music apps in the iOS app store, and I wanted to change that!
G Chords is a material design chord library for both guitar and ukulele, with over 400 chords in total, and a diagram for each one. As well as chords, G chords has a metronome and the ability to save chords for quick access later (for the chords to a song you're learning or ect).
I'm planning on creating an all in one app for guitarists, so that you don't need loads of apps on your home screen (or pay tonnes of money, G Chords is free). I'm thinking next up should be a guitar tuner, and possibly a rename to G Tools (seeing as it can do more than just chords).
Take a look, and let me know what you think! I'd love suggestions on where to improve and what features to implement! I'm always contactable on .
Cheers!

I started teaching myself android dev this summer, so this is my first and only app. its a guitar chords app, but my plan is to add every feature a guitarist would need, I'm working on a tuner at the moment.
I second the justinguitar website, fantastic resource. However, check out G Chords for a material chord database. Saw it posted last week and I really like it.

Also, search for metronome apps in the play store to practice keeping in rhythm. There are many out there, just find one that suits your needs
Sounds great. If you can get a backend up and running, like an api I can work with I'd love to start getting some basics down.
Hey /r/guitar! I've been teaching myself computer programming over the summer, and I'm developing an android app called G Chords, with the intention of providing one app for all your guitar/ukulele needs. At the moment, the music apps for android fall behind the design, functionality, and number of apps for iPhones, and I want to change that.
G Chords provides a large chord library of over 400 guitar and ukulele chords, which can be saved for quick access. As well as this, G Chords has a metronome, and I'm currently working on a tuner as well. Importantly to me, G Chords is designed to fit in with Googles material design standards, I want the app to be good looking as well!
I'd love for you to take a look at the app, leave a rating in the Google Play Store, and I'd love some suggestions on new features (the guys over at /r/android have been very helpful already).
I really value your feedback, what do you use your phone for, and whats missing from the experience at the moment?
Cheers!

I've been learning android development recently, and so far I've made a guitar/uke chord library called G Chords. I'm planning on turning it into one app that can do everything guitarists need, what do people think I should add to it next? I should be pushing an update adding a metronome this week.
Hey man, I've just updated G Chords to add uke support, Id love you to take a look!
