ObiNo is a good app to count calories for Indian food. In fact, it is run by an Indian company. It's a decent app, but there is some room for improvement. Here's the Playstore link :

> I try calorie log daily but I don't how accurate I log them since I eat food from mess can't actually get exact calories
You don't need exact calories. Round to the nearest 100 will be fine because you'll have a deficit of 500-1000 built in to your weight-loss calorie goal. Your estimating skills will increase with practice. It's okay that it feels useless and inexact when you start. Just keep trying, keep challenging your assumptions and figuring out different ways to verify.
See this -- https://www.reddit.com/r/loseit/comments/6kmxin/how_to_be_better_at_visually_estimating/ ... and remember, you don't need to eat everything on your plate or tray. You can eat only what you want to eat.
> most of the dishes I eat aren't available in loseit. I am from india
Try MyFitnessPal. It has a more widely-used, crowd-sourced database than Lose It! You might have better luck with that. Also, Obino is an app that I haven't tried but looks good for Indians. It works on the same principles as MyFitnessPal. You can even use them both, side-by-side, for a week and stick with which ever one you prefer.
> I started walking for atleast 4kms a day and keep increasing it in small steps till 8kms a day. What I wanted to know is anything simple I can incorporate in my daily life.
It's a mistake to keep ratcheting up or increasing the goal. Keep the goal at a minimum useful amount, such as 4 km a day for 4 days a week, with permission to do more and as many days as you want. That way you won't be discouraged from even starting to walk on a day where you don't have enough time to do that day's 10 km goal. 4 km is useful, and if it's a nice day, you might actually do 10 km just because you want to.
> I just found about intermittent fasting. Any tips on how to work it out?
Skip breakfast and dessert. What's left is usually 8 hours worth of eating from 1200 to 2000. It helps because most of us can wait that long before eating without our willpower breaking.
Good luck!
