This take's a little effort, but, not much. I like you listen to podcasts while training and had the same issues with interruptions. I found this app
Interval timer
It is a very simple, no frills timer. You can program what ever intervals you like. When I did C25K I would program the week's runs. You can use sounds or works to announce the next interval.
I still use it today as I train using a run/walk method.
I've completed the program a few times (stopped due to injury, illness, ...life). I've sworn by the Active.com C25K app. This time when I hit week 6 I tried something new. I switched to a straight-up interval timer.
You can find it HERE in the the Google Play Store.
Very easy and intuitive to configure to match the program intervals.
I switched for a couple of reasons.
If you decide to give it a try and need advice on setting up the times feel free to ping me.
Cheers and good luck.
I've been using Tuga Browser as my main browser on my new Pixel XL and damn if it isn't the best browser I've used. Has adblock and chrome sync and runs so so smooth.
This Interval Timer is also incredibly useful for gym routines, not only that but holy shit the animations are sweet. Every press is like an explosion of colour.
I also recommend Wallpop and Wxllpaper, great wallpaper apps.
I've been through the program a few times. I've used the Active.com app. Never an issue with ads. I did recently switch to using a configurable interval trainer app, "Hybrid Interval Timer"

I record all of my runs with my fitbit so I don't really need the mapping and statistics of the Active app. You can configure the timer to mimic the run/walk segments of the program. There are a few things I like better about using the interval timer:
