You could also try an app called Joy. I first found it when the developer advertised it on Reddit a few years ago.

I see it as a pared down version of MFP, all the important features with no ads or fluff. It's subscription based, and they charge $6 every 3 months. I really like it!

Looks like this is the app. Looks very good, but if you live in Scandinavia the barcodescanner won't find all the food.

Indeed you should checkout joyapp.com. Finally available on the respective Android and iOS app stores.

You do however, have to register for a username... I'm not sure how an app could work otherwise...
