You're welcome to check the sidebar for resources regarding brands of shoes that people have enjoyed, but please ignore anything marketed as "nursing," or, "for nurses," because you'll get to enjoy a ridiculous markup otherwise.
An analog watch may be nice, a gel pen that dries quickly (Pentel Energel was a firm favorite of mine), and a SMALL pocket notebook where you could jot down vitals and such. Some people in my cohort carried a clipboard, but I could not for the life of me carry one and not feel encumbered by it. A few sheets of scratch paper folded up in my pocket was all that I needed.

If someone is trying to market something to you as OMG U NEED THIS TO SUCCEED - chances are that you don't.
