Mini Dash

Fast platformer like Super Meat Boy, only if you hold jump you stay on the ceiling.

There's a free to play version with the usual free to play bullshit.

Mini Dash You will die a lot, but not because of the controls. It's frenetic and crazy gameplay. Gives a Sonic crossed with Mario and Earthworm Jim vibe. Lots of collectables and secrets to discover!

Surprisingly since it hasn't been updated in 3 years, it still runs on my phone running marshmallow.

My top 6 (these haven't left my phone once I installed them)

• Mage Gauntlet A love letter to SNES action RPGs. True 16 bit aesthetic with fantastic controls, an engaging (but not epic) story and almost too many secret areas to explore.
• Mini Dash You will die a lot, but not because of the controls. It's frenetic and crazy gameplay. Gives a Sonic crossed with Mario and Earthworm Jim vibe.
• SB Deluxe Actually it's on the humblebundle store. You get a steam key and Android apk. This is a fast stealthgame with very tight controls. Can be brutal, but a blast.
• Sword Of Xolan This is an old school platformer, refined for mobile. While not Nintendo Hard, it's got just enough frustration to keep you going. With the inclusion of 4 secrets per 30 levels, it's great for 100 per centers too.
• Terraria This one, people might argue with me, but I find the controls very nice and fluid. It has most of the pc content up to 1.2. An update that includes fishing and mine carts is getting closer as I type.
• Tiny Thief Super cute and fun point and click adventure. Not terribly difficult puzzles but always engaging. One main item and 4 optional ones through 6 episodes and 30 levels.
