I got my first Android a year ago.There are some apps on my phone, which make me proud for owning an Android device. I am no gaming enthusiast. But , I too prefer offline apps. Here's my list :
Evernote : For saving articles from webpages, saving recipes etc

Wikipedia : Saving wiki articles for offline reference
Osmos Demo : An ambient game with beautiful light filled orbs and cool music. It is supposed to be therapeutic.
Mapboard lite : For drawing maps while learning geography
