I have only played 'The Great Tournament' and some mercenary text game, but I would certainly recommend both of them.

You should try this , not an exclusive text game, but it's a great game nonetheless.

The game is an addictive RPG/Strategy game set in the Caribbean in the 17th century. Can get the free version with ads here or the paid version here.
A really great game for fans of the genre or time period.

I found Pirates and Traders for Android quite fun. It's pirate themed and it's a bit like Carribean! or Sid Meier's Pirates, but mostly text based.
