I'm curious how high "airspace" is. I live in Yellowknife and see contrails going overhead all the time. I found an app for my mobile that lets me find out which airline, flight, origin, destination, height, speed, etc. it is. They're most often having nothing to do with Canada, just flying over the northern route because its shorter/faster.
As an example, the one I've chosen here is a KLM 747 gong from Amsterdam to Los Angeles. It isn't flying over Yellowknife, but it'll cross over Alberta, likely directly above Edmonton.
This onewas the best I could find that was most similar.
