I've been using QPython on Android for the past few months and while installing modules requires a bit more work and the editor is not the greatest to use, it works effectively as a decent IDE. It allows you to use Python 2.7 and 3 and can run programs in the background of your phone. A bit buggy, but works better than most apps I've seen on Google Play and the web.
Are you on Android? If so check out QPython
Programming on your phone isn't ideal, but it works
Several options available;
SL4A and Python4Android and you can use Code > Run SL4A Script
QPython and QPython3 with the plugin for Tasker
Termux which is a GNU Linux userland without root need and offers a LOT of languages to use, use the plugin for Tasker to work with it.
Yet no entry for Android. Or does QPython not qualify for this site because of implementation-details?
Yes! qpython is awesome.
I don't know but i found this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.qpython.qpy&hl=en
The app that is fully working giving me a pixelated image is QPython which is free but the Tasker plugin was $2.99 and doesn't run in the background. I've already emailed, waiting on a reply.
After fiddling around more I realized I'm probably using an old version of SL4A & Python since when I previously tried running the task before QPython, SL4A would crash.
I found 2 versions of Python at the bottom of this page in the last 2 comments. And a newer SL4A Here about a paragraph or 2 down.
The SL4A doesn't throw any errors when I try to run the code but nothing happens when I try to run the task from Tasker as Run Script. Using the QPython plugin with Tasker on the SAME EXACT pixelate_image.py works though.
I'm so close to getting this to work I can feel it! Here's some motivation
Edit: Python and sl4a are working with Tasker Run Script action when using test Speak_Time.py script so I'm not sure why they're not executing Pixelate_Image.py when QPython can with the same exact script.
